Be it by day, be it by night
I'm comforted by the fact I never leave Your sight
For You have kept me under Your wing
The joy You installed in me makes me want to leap, to sing
You love me and call me by my name
With You, I'm complete, I need not money, nor friends, nor fame
I thank You for the good times of plenty I've enjoyed
Along with the discipline that made me once feel annoyed
For the divine rod of discipline gave me character
It helped me break the sin barrier
You are my Lord, my God, my Father, my ever present Help in trouble
I know You are holding me up and will help steady me when I stumble
I will sing Your praises and bend my knees before You in awe and glee
For how can I not feel that way, after all, You've set me free
You'll be there with me in any situation, no matter where or when
I pray that I'll never forget this true act of love: Amen
