The Blood of Jesus

I have sinned. According to the Most Holy God, that is worthy of death. Death is the payment for sin. Death was my calling.

But, God said no.

He wants to give me another chance. A way to be completely forgiven. Of my past, present and future sins. God wanted to give me eternal life, instead of the death I deserved.

So, Jesus was born.

The Savior of all the world.

My Savior.

God, in human flesh lived a life on Earth. The Son of Man, the Son of God felt what I feel.

Temptation.

Anxiety.

He even wept.

He lived a sinless life to be a perfect sacrifice for me. He was mocked, beaten, whipped, and finally put on the Cross.

The blood of Jesus was a permanent price. His blood washed over me, making me clean.

The only thing that brings salvation and eternal life is believing in this great sacrifice. There is NOTHING we can do. Jesus already did it all. He loved us so much, He wanted to forgive everyone who didn't deserve it, just to give them a chance to accept eternal life with God.

I choose it.

I know that Jesus is the Son of God. I know He died for me that day. I can rest assured that my sins are forgiven. The blood of Jesus continues to wipe away my sins. I am forgiven- always.

That love flows out of me, so I may share it with others. So, I may be changed by the Holy Spirit. God isn't done with me.

He loves those who love Him. He will stay true to His promises. He promises to never leave me nor forget about me. He says He thinks good towards me, to give me hope. He says everything works out for the good of those who love and fear Him.

I'm free to enjoy these promises because of the blood of Jesus. The curtain is now split. There is no separation between us and God. We have full access.

God saved us.

We didn't and couldn't ever do anything to deserve it. We didn't ask for it. Thinking any other way demolishes and undermines the gift of God.

God, thank You for the blood of Jesus.
