(Julien's pov)
When the boy's left I immediately went upstairs to talk to Layna. I walked into our room to find her packing a bag "what are you doing Layna?" I asked her while she walked around the room grabbing anything that was hers "I am leaving, i dont love you like i used to. I love Mason but I hit him and if he made me angry again I would hit him worse than I did this time".
That was all she wanted to say. I grabbed the divorce paper's that were drawn up a year ago and asked her to sign them before she left. I walked her out and watched as her car left the house, my house. We had the paper's drawn up after she had hit me once and promised never to do it again. It was never going to work between us. Instead of staying here in the house, I decided to hire people to get all of Layna's stuff out over the next couple days.
Me and the boys would stay at the hotel and I'd have a security detail here to make sure my stuff wasn't stolen. I didn't want to be the one to pack up her stuff, I couldn't help but feel relieved that she was gone. I am not going to lie, I did care about her but she has abusive tendencies and needs help. I'm not willing to help her at the expense of Mason or Peyton.
I packed a bag and left for the hotel to see my boys, they might be sleeping already though. It was passed Mason's bedtime and if he doesn't get enough sleep he's grouchy the next day. I handed the keys to the valet and walked inside going straight to the boys room, Peyton was bound to be awake, he never went to sleep this early (10:30).
