It was the day everyone was waiting for.

The Sports festival.

Class 1-A had to sit inside a waiting room before they could go out to the stadium. Even here, Hanako could hear the excited chatter from spectators outside.

Everyone was dressed in their PE tracksuit. Mina was clearly disappointed by this fact.

" Aw man! I wanted to wear my costume!" She wined.

Ojiro tried to comfort her. " To keep everything fair, we can't. Some costumes give people an unfair advantage."

" Especially to the people not in the hero course," Hanako added, smiling at the pink haired girl teasingly while bouncing her back on the chair she was sitting on.

" I wonder what the first round is gonna be...", a classmate-Sato- muttered nervously.

" No matter what comes, we have no choice but to deal with it," Tokoyami replied maturely.

Midoriya, as usual, was a nervous wreck. "Even though I knew this day was coming, there's no way I could have fully prepared myself!"

Iida burst into the room. " Everyone ready? We'll be entering soon!"

Nervous looks were exchanged. But Hanako was unbothered.

She was not very excited about the festival as everyone else was, but she was determined to enjoy herself. This was a rare moment to enjoy the hero course life before training to fight and go out to defeat real life villains.

Suddenly, a dual haired boy walked up.

" Midoriya," Todoroki said.

Now, Midoriya couldn't recall a time when he interacted with Todoroki, so hearing the dual haired boy speak to him so suddenly and even with a sharp edge in his voice shook the timid boy.

" To-Todoroki? What is it?" He stuttered.

Todoroki stared down at him. "Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you."

Hanakk cocked her head in surprise.

Midoriya answered weakly. " Huh? Yeah?"

" But All might has his eyes on you right? I won't pry into your connection with him but I'm definitely going to beat you." Todoroki continued.

Electricity seemed to spark from the cold boy.

Kaminari, trying to break the tension, commented. " Oh? Is the best trying to make a declaration of war?"

Kirishima stepped in. He gripped at Todoroki's shoulder, pulling him back a little. " Hey,hey, hey. Why are you trying to pick a fight all of a sudden?"

Todoroki brushed him off. "We're not here to play being friends, so what does it matter?"

"Todoroki," Midoriya called. The said boy turned to him. " I...don't know what you're thinking about when you say you'll beat me, but of course your better at me. I think you're more capable than me. Looking it objectively..."

Kirishima interrupted. " Midoriya, you probably shouldn't talk so negatively." He tried to assure the green haired boy.

Midoriya did not stop. " But, everyone... The students from other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got. I can't afford to fall behind. I'll be going forward with everything I have to!"
