His eyes widened, and he refused vehemently. "Impossible."
"I don't care if you have relationships outside, but a child? I will not allow it. You do what you see fit." Lisa's resolve remained unshaken.
Mingyu was stunned. "Lalisa, how could you be so ruthless and have the heart to ask someone to abort an innocent baby?"
"So?" Lisa retorted sharply. "That innocent baby will grow up eventually. If you want this marriage, I will not allow you to have an illegitimate child!"
Mingyu's expression turned icy, and he opened his mouth to respond, but words failed him. In the end, he turned away in anger and left the restaurant. Lisa knew that a reporter was hiding nearby, and she was satisfied that he had stormed out in a fit of rage. Raising her wine glass, she allowed herself a triumphant smile.
Mingyu had ignored Lisa's warnings, but she remained indifferent to his choices. She could only think about the misery that awaited her in a marriage with a man like him. Lost in her thoughts, she failed to realize just how many glasses of wine she had emptied.
Her bodyguard appeared and took the glass from her. "That's enough, Ms."
"Wine only has 20% alcohol, relax," she waved her hand dismissively. "If I get drunk, aren't you here to help me and get me home? Go away and don't disturb me," she snapped at him.
The bodyguard had no choice but to follow her command, retreating to his previous position to keep an eye on her. After some time, he noticed Lisa's head droop onto the table and moved closer to assist her. However, he accidentally collided with a waitress, causing her to drop some dishes. The waitress scolded him for his carelessness, and he helped her clean up the mess. Once they finished, he looked up to find that Lisa had disappeared. His expression turned grim as he began searching for her. Trying to call her, he discovered that her phone was turned off.
Feeling something was amiss, he inquired around and received conflicting information. Some said she was in the restroom, while others claimed she had left and gone outside.
Meanwhile, Lisa was inside a car, and the man with her dialed a number. "She's in the car; what should we do now?"
"Just wait; I'm still preparing. I'll call you again."
"Okay," the man replied and kept a watchful eye on the situation outside, worried that the bodyguards might spot them.
During the business dinner, Jimin received a call from Krystal informing him that Y/N wasn't feeling well. He promptly left the rest of the dinner to Jungkook and immediately booked a ticket to return home. Before heading to the airport, he explained Y/N's condition to Jungkook and offered him the use of his suite room since Jungkook hadn't booked a room initially.
In the hotel, Jungkook decided to take advantage of the beautiful view of Singapore from his balcony and thought it would be a perfect time to enjoy some wine. He checked the room's fridge but found it empty of wine. Jungkook called room service and requested a bottle of wine to be delivered.
The top-notch service of the five-star hotel ensured that the wine was promptly delivered to his room. "Mr. Park, your wine," the server announced.
"Put it there," Jungkook replied as he pointed to a convenient spot.
Once the server left, Jungkook carried the wine bottle and a glass out to the balcony. He poured himself some wine and took in the breathtaking view. However, after just a few sips, an unexpected dizziness overcame him. He couldn't understand why, as he had only drunk a small amount, but his head began to spin.
His vision became blurred, and his limbs felt heavy and uncoordinated. Struggling to regain his balance, he stumbled back inside the room and eventually collapsed onto the sofa, a searing heat coursing through his body.
"Why is it so hot in here?" Jungkook wondered, his thoughts growing increasingly hazy as he fought to stay conscious.
Jungkook, in his drowsy state, reached for the air-conditioning remote and set it to the lowest temperature. Despite his efforts, the oppressive heat persisted, making him increasingly uncomfortable. He loosened his tie and slumped his head against the sofa, hoping to find some relief. His entire body felt like it was on fire, and the situation was becoming unbearable. Struggling to stay awake, he finally gave in and closed his eyes, succumbing to sleep.
Meanwhile, Seulgi's car had parked in front of Jimin's hotel, and she answered her phone with a curt "Okay." She glanced at her wristwatch and proceeded to dial another number. "Send her in thirty minutes."
Seulgi remained in her car, keeping a discreet distance as a familiar vehicle pulled up outside the hotel. Two men carefully carried Lisa from the car. Concerned for her own safety, Seulgi chose not to follow them inside the hotel and remained in her car. The two men briefly glanced in her direction before proceeding with their task. They carried Lisa into the dimly lit hotel suite and noticed Jungkook, who had his eyes closed as he leaned on the sofa.
As they placed Lisa on the bed, one of the men hesitated and asked, "Should we put him on the bed too?" However, the other man was more concerned about not lingering too long and simply waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry about him. He'll find his way to bed eventually. Let's go." With that, they exited the room, leaving Jungkook and Lisa alone.
