Krystal had received the story from Taehyung and immediately called Y/N, assuming she might not have known about it yet. She found the whole situation outrageous and couldn't believe they had deceived Jungkook and Lisa like that.

"Actually, it was their plan to trap Jimin and Lisa, but Jungkook ended up staying at Jimin's hotel suite last night..."

Krystal was visibly upset. "She's so disgraceful! How could she stoop to such a level?"

Y/N simply shrugged, acknowledging that Seulgi seemed willing to do whatever it took to further her own interests.

Just then, the door opened, and Y/N turned her attention to it. Her aunt entered, carrying food and Joon Min.

"Krystal, let's talk later. Joonie's here."

Auntie Wang placed the meal on the table for Y/N, and Y/N expressed her gratitude with a polite, "Thank you."

Y/N allowed her food to cool down a bit and then gestured to Joon Min, inviting him to come closer. Jimin picked up their son and settled him into a chair, gently running his fingers through Joon Min's hair. "Talk to Mom," he encouraged.

Joon Min nodded, and Y/N took his hand, placing it on her belly. "Joonie, let's have a chat with your little sister, okay?"

Y/N was surprised by her own words. How had she assumed the baby's gender so confidently? Perhaps it was because Jimin had been talking about wanting a daughter so much that it had influenced her. She gave Jimin a pointed look, causing him to raise his eyebrows innocently. "It's a girl."

After lunch, Jimin took care of the administrative tasks related to Y/N's discharge from the hospital and then drove them back home. Joo Hyuk had been waiting for their return, and as soon as they arrived, he approached Y/N, concern evident on his face. "Y/N, how are you feeling now?" he inquired.

Even though Jimin had already informed him that Y/N was okay, Joo Hyuk wanted to hear it directly from her.

"I'm okay, Dad," Y/N reassured him with a small smile.

Joo Hyuk nodded with relief. "That's great."

As they settled into the main house, Jimin turned to his father with a serious expression. "Dad, there's something I need to discuss with you."

They moved to Jimin's study and took seats on the sofa. "What's on your mind?" Joo Hyuk asked, ready to listen.

"Do you recall why Grandma objected to Taemin being with Yoona?" Jimin inquired.

"Yoona?" Joo Hyuk appeared puzzled by the name. After all, it had been a long time, and the details might have faded from his memory.

Jimin tried to jog his father's recollection. "Taemin's first love."

Joo Hyuk still seemed uncertain about the specifics, as Grandma hadn't shared much about the situation. He vaguely remembered that Grandma had vehemently disapproved of Yoona and their relationship.

During Taemin's relationship with Yoona, he had been young and naive. However, when Yoona was discovered dead, he was devastated. He withdrew into his room, refusing to eat or attend school. His days were filled with smoking and drinking.

Grandma had intervened, insisting that he eat, but he had promptly vomited it all up. She scolded him, reminding him that he was letting his parents down and that they would be disappointed to see him in such a state. Eventually, Taemin had started to recover and returned to school. At the time, they believed he had regained his senses and found solace in remembering his parents. Little did they know that he had harbored a deep grudge against the Park family and had been biding his time for revenge.

Joo Hyuk finally made the connection. "Ah, you're referring to that girl."

Jimin nodded. He had always sensed that Grandma's opposition to their relationship had deeper reasons than just Yoona's family background. Grandma had showered him with love and indulgence since the tragic loss of his parents when he was just a child, and she wasn't typically unreasonable.

Jimin believed that there had to be more to the story. He couldn't help but ask, "So, it wasn't solely because of family background?"

Joo Hyuk reflected on that time. "You're right, Jimin. While your grandma did consider family background important due to her principles, it wasn't the sole reason for her objections. She was dedicated to improving our family's standing. Your mother came from a modest family, and that's why she opposed our relationship initially."

He continued, "However, Yoona's family was quite ordinary. If it were you, your grandma might have never agreed, but for Taemin, it was different. She genuinely felt sympathy for him, considering all the hardships he had endured since childhood. In his case, Grandma prioritized his happiness over family background."

Jimin listened intently, his eyes filled with questions as his father recounted the past. It was a story filled with complexity and secrets, and he couldn't help but wonder about the details. "So, what was the reason?"
