Chapter 70

Sweat formed on Yoongi's brow as he replied, "Lee Taemin... Where are you now?"

"Did you forget? I'm still in the hospital because doctor hasn't discharged me yet, but I can stroll around the hospital. Can guess which room I'm heading to now?"

Yoongi's breath quickened as he asked, "Don't you dare!"

Yoongi had left the hospital late at night, assuming Taemin would be asleep. He had arranged for someone to watch over So Dam, but he hadn't anticipated this turn of events.

He cursed himself for his oversight, thinking, "I'm such a fool! I should have stayed by So Dam's side. I should have just asked Jimin to come and meet me."

Taemin continued, "Are you scared?" He sent Yoongi a photo, confirming that it was indeed So Dam's room. She lay in the bed, but the nurse appeared terrified.

"Lee Taemin, don't you dare touch her! What more do you want? You can punish me all you want, but if you harm her even a little, I won't let you get away with it!" Yoongi's voice seethed with anger.

Taemin chuckled, a sinister edge to his tone. "Min Yoongi... You've known me for so many years. Don't pretend you don't know how much I despise threats. Besides, you were the one who betrayed me first, so I had to teach you a lesson. Don't you think? And now you're meeting Jimin – planning to betray me completely, are you?" He chuckled. "Fine. Just watch what I'll do to your sister. Min Yoongi, if you care about your sweet little sister, then you will keep your mouth shut." With that, Taemin abruptly hung up.

"Lee Taemin, Lee Taemin!" Yoongi stood up, his intent clear as he moved to leave.

Jimin called out to him, "Min Yoongi, our conversation isn't over."

Yoongi turned towards him, his voice filled with remorse, "I'm sorry, Mr. Park. As you just heard, Taemin has taken my sister. I can't..."

Jimin interrupted him with a calm demeanor, "Do you believe that by staying by Taemin's side, he'll spare you and your sister? Don't you want justice for her? How can you just let this slide?"

Yoongi's voice wavered, burdened with guilt, "What can I do? I couldn't even protect her. She's been through so much because of me..."

Y/N interjected, "Mr. Min, you need to compose yourself. We can work together..."

Yoongi hesitated, his fear palpable, "How can we? If Taemin finds out I'm working with you, he'll kill my sister..."

Jimin looked at him intently, "I'm asking you to keep it a secret, do you understand? This way, you can also help your sister."

Jimin added, "You're a smart person; you should see the logic in my approach."

Yoongi contemplated it for a moment and eventually nodded in agreement.

Y/N observed Yoongi's departure and shared her concern with Jimin, saying, "Do you think he'll truly cooperate? His sister is in Taemin's clutches."

Jimin tenderly stroked Y/N's long hair and replied, "I've always believed in Yoongi's intelligence. He knows what's at stake and what to choose. He's endured unimaginable hardships, and he must really despise Taemin. He wants Taemin to face consequences. He's returning to Taemin's side not out of trust, but because he fears Taemin might harm his sister. Even though Taemin won't trust him completely again, he still needs his sister to be safe."

Y/N nodded in agreement, expressing her wish, "I hope Taemin can just stop. He shouldn't harm anyone else."

Taemin had already caused harm to their daughter and Madame Park.
