Chapter 62

Taehyung considered this for a moment. Taemin was eager to have a child, and he wouldn't risk harming the baby growing inside Krystal. He was likely thinking of ways to ensure his child's safe arrival into the world.

"Go and get some rest," Taehyung suggested, understanding that she needed it.

Krystal watched him as he left and then entered the house. She enjoyed her mother's cooking and then headed upstairs to her room. She couldn't help but think that if it weren't for her parents and Taehyung, she might still be with Taemin.

Taemin was aware of her pregnancy now. If she didn't have an abortion soon, Taemin wouldn't give her a chance.

But she was determined not to be entangled with him. Even if it meant facing death, she wouldn't be afraid.

She remained in her room for a while, unable to sleep. By late afternoon, she noticed that her parents were napping. She took her car and drove to the hospital.

Upon arriving, she went straight to the doctor's office and declared her intentions. The doctor was taken aback, expressing concern, "Ms. Jung, why the rush? We should wait until you're in a better condition for the surgery. Your health..."

Krystal interrupted firmly, "Doctor, I don't mind the consequences. I want to have the abortion immediately."

The doctor inquired cautiously, "Ms. Jung, have you considered the consequences?"

"I have," Krystal affirmed. "You mentioned potential difficulty conceiving in the future, correct?"

"Yes," the doctor replied. "So, you..."

"I still want to proceed," Krystal insisted. "Now, please arrange it."

The doctor recognized Krystal's unwavering resolve and chose not to press the matter further. She nodded and sighed, saying, "Alright, please wait. I'll have someone arrange it."

Krystal sat patiently, having turned off her phone to ensure a peaceful surgery experience. As time passed, and the doctor didn't return, she began to consider going outside to inquire about the delay. Just as she was about to stand up, she heard the door open.

She initially assumed that the doctor had returned to inform her about the surgery, but as she began to turn, a sudden chill ran through her body. Taemin stood there, gazing at her with folded arms and a cold smile. He reminded her, "I recall telling you not to harm my baby."

Krystal retorted, "Why should I follow your orders?"

Taemin remained composed as he locked the door and approached her, stopping beside her with that chilling smile still on his face. He calmly explained, "My people have just picked up your father. Krystal, would you like to know where they've taken him?"

Fear gripped her as she demanded, "Lee Taemin, what have you done to my father?"

"Nothing," Taemin replied calmly. "As long as you obey me and give birth to my child. Once I see that my child safely enters this world, I will naturally release him..."

"You wish!" Krystal fiercely wanted to slap him, but he was quicker, clutching her wrist tightly.

"Now, it's up to you to decide what you want to do," Taemin calmly stated. "If you terminate this pregnancy, then I will ensure your parents go with my child. You should know what you must do now. It's just two lives; I don't care too much..."

Taemin continued, "Don't worry. I won't imprison you like before. As long as you give birth to my child, you can live wherever you want. Your father will return when you deliver my child. Think it through."

With those words, Taemin released her and left the room, leaving Krystal collapsed on the floor.

The doctor returned and waved her hand in front of Krystal's face, saying, "Ms. Jung, we are ready now. Please follow us."

Krystal suddenly regained her composure and shook her head, saying, "I'm sorry. I can't do it now."

The doctor nodded understandingly, "Wise choice. Then you can go home, Ms. Jung. Take care of your health."

Krystal left the doctor's office quickly, and Taehyung was waiting for her. He held her wrist and asked, "Are you going to have the abortion now?"

His people had been following her, and they informed him when Krystal arrived at the hospital, prompting Taehyung to rush there.

"Taehyung, Taemin has my father," Krystal said, her eyes red and filled with worry as she looked at Taehyung.

Taehyung's eyes widened in shock as he processed Krystal's revelation. His voice trembled with concern as he asked, "When did this happen?"

Krystal's voice quivered as she replied, "When I just came to the hospital."

Taehyung's mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. "Taemin was here? Did he use your parents' lives as a bargaining chip to force you into giving birth to this baby?"

Krystal nodded.

He reached out and gently wiped away Krystal's tears, his voice filled with determination, "Krystal, please don't cry. I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to find Taemin and make sure he can never harm you or your parents again."

Krystal nodded, but her eyes still held a deep well of worry. She whispered, "You don't understand, Taehyung. Taemin is relentless when it comes to this child. He's capable of unimaginable things to ensure this baby is born, even if it means forcing me into this nightmarish situation."

Taehyung held her close, offering comfort and support, as they left the hospital together. The weight of the terrible dilemma hung heavily over Krystal, and she couldn't help but wonder if there was any escape from this horrifying ordeal.

Taehyung drove Krystal home and then headed to Jimin's house. There, he recounted the harrowing events of the past day and today to Jimin and Y/N.

Taehyung wore a pained expression, his frustration palpable. He felt utterly helpless, unable to do anything to aid Krystal in her dire situation.

Y/N passed him a glass of water, urging him to calm down. "Taehyung, have some water," she said softly. "You need to collect yourself."

Jimin added gravely, "Taemin is clearly willing to go to great lengths for his child."

Taehyung turned to President Park, seeking guidance. "President Park, what should we do now?"
