Jae Kyung was eventually released by Taemin's men, and he was taken away by his own associates. Taemin, still seething with anger, didn't respond to their concern and abruptly drove away, leaving a trail of chaos and violence behind.

The rain continued to pour, mirroring the storm of emotions raging inside Taemin. He felt lost and adrift, like a ship without a captain. The weight of his solitude pressed down on him, and he yearned for someone to share his inner turmoil with.

For so long, he had hidden his true self behind a façade of power and control. Even with Krystal, he had kept his guard up, never fully revealing his vulnerability. Yoona had been the only person he could confide in, the only one who had seen the real him. And now, even that connection had been shattered by betrayal.

Taemin had always prided himself on his ability to conquer any challenge, to command power and authority. But this battle within himself, this struggle to come to terms with the truth, was one he couldn't face alone. He needed someone to help him navigate the stormy seas of his emotions and find his way back to solid ground.

His mind swirled with a whirlwind of thoughts as he navigated the cold, rainy night. He felt aimless, uncertain of where to go, until he inexplicably found himself parked in front of Krystal's house. It had become a nightly ritual, this silent vigil from his car.

Even though he couldn't catch a glimpse of her, he knew the exact location of Krystal's room. He would sit in his car, fixated on that window. Sometimes, he could envision her, bathed in the soft, warm glow of her reading lamp, as she immersed herself in a book. In those moments, an inexplicable sense of contentment washed over him.

He had often told himself that he was lonely and that he was just trying to fill that void. This night, he found himself once again parked outside her house, cigarette in hand, observing. Something felt different, though. He noticed that she had returned home later than usual, her room still shrouded in darkness. Instead of driving away as he typically did, he remained in his car, a feeling of unease settling over him.

A car approached Krystal's house and came to a stop in front of it. Taehyung watched as the front passenger's door opened, revealing Krystal stepping out of the vehicle. She was dressed in trousers and flat shoes, her clothes damp from the rain.

"Let me give you a piggyback inside," Taehyung offered.

Krystal chuckled softly. "No, I can manage on my own." She walked over to his side of the car and embraced him. "Go."

Taehyung held her in a warm hug and gave her a reassuring smile. "I don't want you to get any wetter."

Krystal didn't resist, allowing him to escort her to the door. Her mother opened it and expressed concern for Taehyung being drenched in the rain. She insisted he come inside to avoid catching a cold.

"What were you two doing out there? Come in quickly," her father chimed in.

They shared a laugh and entered the cozy house. Even in the midst of the heavy rain, Taemin could hear Krystal's joyful laughter echoing through his mind.

As everyone settled inside, Taemin lingered outside, watching the house. His thoughts swirled with questions about Krystal's happiness and whether leaving him would bring her the joy she deserved. But she is his wife and he is her husband, who is Taehyung? He is nothing!

After finishing his cigarette, he finally drove away, his car speeding down the road without regard for the consequences.

Y/N gently knocked on the door to Jimin's study, where he was immersed in his work.

"Come in," he responded.

Y/N entered and noticed a glass of whiskey resting on his desk. She was well aware of Jimin's penchant for alcohol. "You mentioned quitting excessive drinking," she remarked.

Jimin glanced up, meeting her eyes. "I'm drinking in moderation, babe," he reassured her before returning his attention to the laptop.

Y/N simply shook her head, realizing that it was futile to discuss his drinking habits any further.

She was carrying a glass of warm milk which she placed on his desk. "Remember to drink it, and don't stay up too late."

"You're heading to bed, babe?" Jimin inquired.

Y/N nodded. "Mhm."

"Come here first," Jimin beckoned to her.

Y/N walked over to him, and he pulled her onto his lap, his hands resting on her waist.

"What's on your mind?" Y/N shifted slightly to find a more comfortable position, eliciting a low groan from Jimin.

"Stay still," he playfully scolded.

"Sorry," Y/N replied with an innocent smile.

"I've been studying Yoona's suicide case," Jimin explained.

Y/N peered at the computer screen with curiosity. "Have you found anything?"

"I had Taehyung investigate. It seems that a day before she died, she was looking for Park Jae Kyung..."
