Chapter 15

Jimin stood beside Y/N's bed, a concerned expression on his face, after answering his phone. Y/N had just woken up and was attempting to sit up. He extended his hand to assist his pregnant girlfriend. "Did I wake you up?"

Y/N shook her head. "No."

"How do you feel now?" Jimin poured her a glass of water.

"I feel a lot better now." She sipped from her glass. "I'm sorry for making you come all the way here and interrupting your work. My stomach hurt because I ate something wrong, and Krystal must be worried, so she called you."

Jimin bent down and kissed her forehead. "How could I stay away when you're in the hospital? My work can wait, and there's no problem. Jungkook and Lisa will take care of the rest. Besides, I'd never forgive myself if I wasn't here when you needed me."

Y/N nodded. "I overheard your phone conversation earlier. Is something wrong with Jungkook and Lisa?"

Taehyung had informed Jimin about the situation earlier that morning, detailing what had happened in Singapore.

Jimin pulled up a chair and sat down. "I let Jungkook use my suite because I was returning to Seoul. However, it seems Seulgi had already set a trap for Lisa and me. Lisa was having dinner at the restaurant when she was drugged and taken to my suite..."

Y/N gasped, her eyes widening. "And what about Jungkook?"

"Jungkook was in my suite since I let him use it. He ordered wine, and they drugged it too. Then, you can probably guess what happened next..."

Y/N couldn't believe it. They had specifically targeted Jimin. If he hadn't returned, would it have been Jimin instead?

Jimin seemed to understand Y/N's thoughts and shook his head.

Jimin chuckled. "Even if it was me in that room, it would have been fine. I know your body so well; I'd recognize if it wasn't you. My resistance and self-control are impeccable."

Y/N snorted. "Resistance and self-control? I can't quite agree with that."

Jimin smirked. "I should clarify. I meant my resistance and self-control with other women. When it comes to you, well..."

Y/N glared playfully at him. "So, you're saying that Jungkook's resistance and self-control are not as good as yours?"

Jimin laughed. "Not at all. It's just that he hasn't been in the same situation as me yet. Wait until his heart is deeply entangled with a woman he loves and cares for. His self-control will be just as good as mine—though I must admit, it's hard to match my level of perfection in anything."

Y/N shook her head, amused by his confidence. But she couldn't help but to feel a bit worried. "Then what will happen to Lisa and Mingyu?"

Jimin reassured her, holding her hand gently. "No need to worry. Lisa handled it quite well. You remember when Mingyu hugged another woman, right?"

Y/N nodded, recalling the incident. "Yes, I remember. What happened?"

Jimin explained, "That woman is pregnant, and Lisa used that information to her advantage. She announced it to the reporters along with their breakup news. Then, she revealed that she is now in a relationship with Jungkook."

Y/N's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? Jungkook is now in a relationship with Lisa?"

It was a shocking turn of events. Jungkook had left for Singapore as a single man, and now he was coming back with a fiancée. Y/N couldn't help but wonder how his mother would react to the news. Would she be pleased or horrified by this sudden development?

"Lisa displayed cleverness by using Mingyu's mistake as her shield. Since it was his fault for impregnating his girlfriend, the Kim family is less likely to blame her for calling off the marriage."

Y/N couldn't help but acknowledge Lisa's intelligence and her ability to handle problems swiftly. However...

"Do they genuinely want to be together?"

Y/N held Jungkook in high regard, almost like a brother. Naturally, she wished for his happiness above all else.

Jimin recognized her concerns, knowing that she worried about Jungkook. She didn't want to see him hurt, but he also understood the mutual attraction between Jungkook and Lisa.

He held her hand gently and said, "Don't worry, I think everything will work out the way you want."

Y/N could only nod, understanding that dwelling on it now wouldn't change the situation. With Lisa and Jungkook together, it was possible that Jeon Wonwoo might perceive their relationship as a threat. He wouldn't easily allow Jungkook to marry the Manobal family's heir.

Jungkook would have to tread carefully.

Krystal's call caught Y/N by surprise, and Krystal was equally shocked by the situation. "Y/N, have you heard that Jungkook and Lisa are together?"

Y/N confirmed, saying, "Yes."
