Kaia
Two days passed since I begun my search for Jaxx and I haven't been able to find him. I found tracks that appear to belong to a human but the melting snow made it hard to tell, I decided to rest for the night and make sure the horse didn't have any wounds from the snow as I bedded down in a opening on the side of the mountain where the snow couldn't reach. I grabbed some wood and made a fire with a few dry leaves and limbs I found and ate before I went to bed. I didn't get much sleep in case I heard him around where I was but all I heard was distant howling.
I moved out in the middle of the night because whatever was howling kept moving closer to me. I had seen a fire in the distance and hope it was Jaxx but as I got closer I seen that it was a family camping so I asked if they had seen someone who was around twenty years old in the area but they quickly told me that the only person they seen was me. I thanked them and rode away...
Two days turned into two weeks and I still haven't found any sign of Jaxx, I didn't know why he had to leave the camp when deer usually have been spotted not far from where his family stayed, they usually made camp where known herds of deer or Buffalo roamed and it puzzled me why he wouldn't hunt any of those herds.
I finally reached the river where the waterfall was located and decided to hunt some fish while the horse grazed in the field, I had caught a few fish and noticed that the horse had been spooked by something and ran off before I could catch up to him, I was just lucky enough that I had the things my father loaned me along with what little food I had stored in a bag my mother gave me.
Kaia: this is just great, now I have to walk home...
I crossed the river and made camp in a cave that was hidden behind two giant trees. I had grabbed a few pieces of wood and was about to make a fire when I noticed that someone had been here before me and seen an old burnt log next to where the fire was now.
I looked around the cave for him but nobody was here or so I thought when I heard someone behind me sound like they were in pain. I grabbed a limb that I placed in the fire when I seen him sitting beside a rock while he held onto his leg.
Kaia: Jaxx!
I seen him look up at me when I called his name...
Jaxx: Kaia...
I didn't know what happened but he slowly drifted into an unconscious state after I helped him over to the fire, I noticed all the blood that ran down his leg and I immediately began treating his wounds and looking for more areas that may have caused him to bleed...
I stayed by his side for the next three days and I still wasn't showing any improvement, what happened to him was still a mystery to me but I continued waiting for him to wake up...
I put the Buffalo fur around me as I got some sleep. The next morning was foggy but I needed food for the return home. I walked out of the cave and seen the horse standing there drinking water, which gave me time to grab the reigns and walk him into the cave. I decided to make something to put Jaxx on while the horse pulled him so we could get home quicker which took about three days since I had to stop and check his wounds.
After we got back to where my parents and the others were at, I seen them running over to me after my horse whinnied loud enough for them to hear as I watched as the quickly took Jaxx to an area where he would stay warm and heal quicker.
Garrett: you did a great job finding him, I know he will be grateful for you when he wakes up.
Salem: you did so well, I'm proud of you Kaia...
Kaia: I just hope his wounds aren't too bad, I need a hot shower and to call my boss to let her know that I will be gone for a few more weeks...
I walked into the cabin and got a shower before I called my boss to explain that the emergency my parents had was worsen than I thought and she asked me to take my time and that she would see me when I returned.
I stayed with Jaxx while the tribe brought medicine to help him, I had closed the hatch after Dyani stepped inside and treated his wounds. I decided to get some rest knowing that his family would watch over him.
