Two months passed since he asked me to marry him and even though we got married a few weeks ago, I found myself throwing up every morning and he become more sick than he was, I knew that he wouldn't have much longer to live and I decided to take multiple pregnancy tests and I told him the news, the rest of the band stayed with me to help take care of him and I was grateful that they were here because I couldn't do it alone.
Kaia: I know that you can't respond to me but you're going to dad...
I grabbed his hand and held it in mine and I watched as he slipped away from this place...
Lexie: I'm sorry for your loss Kaia...
I felt them hug me gently after I stood up...
Kaia: thank you for helping take care of him, I appreciate it...
Damien: we would do it all over again...
Devon: he would be overjoyed hearing that you're pregnant with his child and if we can do anything, let us know...
We decided to go our separate ways and I stuck to writing songs for other artists while I continued my career as an Instagram model. I sold the tour bus after arriving back home. I had no intention of jumping into a new relationship since I had just lost Trace but Jaxx started coming around again and ruined those plans.
I was leaving the house when I seen him standing outside my front door with his arm raised slightly like he was about to knock on the door...

Jaxx: just a few minutes, I wasn't sure if you were here...
Kaia: I was actually heading to get groceries, do you need something?
Jaxx: I wanted to see how you were doing, I haven't spoken with you in months and become concerned...
Kaia: I've been good, how about you?
Jaxx: I've been good...
Kaia: it was good seeing you and I hate rushing off but I really need to get some groceries and a bite to eat. I will see you around sometime yeah...?
Jaxx: I can come back tomorrow, if that's okay with you?
Kaia: sure, come over for dinner tomorrow night...
Jaxx: okay, see you tomorrow night...
