Kaia
A few weeks passed since he and I had dinner together and I invited him over again so I could tell him about my pregnancy, I didn't know if we would ever hook up but I wanted him to know what he was getting himself into just in case we did become a couple...
After he arrived we spent time watching a few movies after we went to a diner that he liked which wasn't far from where he stayed.
I pondered at the thought of whether I should tell him about me being pregnant or not because I didn't want him to stop hanging out with me since I was expecting.
Jaxx: what are you thinking about...?
Kaia: I was thinking how you would react if I was pregnant with someone else's child if we keep hanging out like we are doing now...
I felt him grab my hand and slid his fingers between mine before saying another word...
Jaxx: it wouldn't make me think any different than I do now, Kaia I love...spending time with you...
Kaia: I enjoy spending time with you too...
Jaxx: so are you pregnant...?
Kaia: yeah...
I heard him let out a deep breath while we continued waiting for our food...
Kaia: what's wrong...?
Jaxx: it's just, I always thought that if you were to have a baby with anyone, I would hope it was with me...
Kaia: I wouldn't change the fact that I am currently pregnant with my deceased husband's child.
Jaxx: wonderful...
Kaia: what's wonderful is how you are acting right now... of all things I thought you would be happy for me...
Jaxx: I am happy for you, it's just...
Kaia: it's what Jaxx, not your child...? It doesn't matter who the father is and it's not like he wanted to die of cancer, this is just like you. I don't know why I thought you changed...
I stood up and walked out the door and started walking home when I felt him grab my wrist...
Jaxx: I'm sorry alright, I just...
Kaia: I'm over the excuses...
Jaxx: I didn't realize that the baby's father meant that much to you, I'm sorry. Can we go back inside and eat?
I followed him back inside and ate what I ordered before we headed back to my home for the night...
