Jaxx

When the time come to go back to Kaia's house, I stopped and picked up a dozen of roses for her. I didn't know how the night would go but I didn't want to argue about anything, I genuinely wanted to have a decent conversation with her over dinner...

I finally arrived at her house and knocked on the door, she opened the door five minutes later and I walked inside after I gave her the flowers...

Kaia: thank you, they are beautiful...

Jaxx: I brought a bottle of your favorite wine too...

Kaia: I actually don't drink alcohol anymore...

Jaxx: but you like red wine...

Kaia: I know it's just... I decided to stop drinking...

Jaxx: okay, I will take it home and drink it another day.

Kaia: dinner is almost done, make yourself at home.

Jaxx: it smells delicious.

I sat down next to her while we talked and the topic was brought up even though I wanted to avoid it...

Kaia: so, what's new with you?

Jaxx: nothing really, been busy with work that's all...

Kaia: I'm surprised you haven't scooped anyone up...

Jaxx: I've had a few people interested but I'm not looking for just anyone to hook up with. How about you, what's new?

Kaia: busy writing songs and going to photoshoots...

Jaxx: I'm surprised you've been single this entire time...

Kaia: I was with someone but he's no longer here.

Jaxx: what happened, he cheat on you or something?

Kaia: no, he passed away from cancer...

Jaxx: I'm sorry to hear that...

Kaia: it's okay, I will always have something to remember him by.

I watched as she walked over to where the food was as she put the food on the plates before we sat down at the table and ate dinner in peace then took a walk on the beach before we decided to call it a night...

Kaia: it was great spending time with you...

Jaxx: I would love to do it again if you will let me...

Kaia: I will like that...

Jaxx: you pick the time and place...

Kaia: let me get back to you on that...

Jaxx: alright...

I gave her a hug and noticed that she wasn't as little as she was when I last held her but I didn't say anything because I knew she would when she was ready...
