○●○The next afternoon, Nicholas and I packed for our trip.
Elisabeth, of course, was super skeptical about it. She really didn't want me out of her sight at all, but Nicholas convinced her he would take perfect care of me.
I told Ruby about it, and she made some teasing comments about it, but oh well, that was just Ruby being Ruby. I was super confident leaving her back in the palace because she was under Alma's care, plus Nicholas made sure she had everything she needed to make her comfortable.
Besides, Luke was around to keep her company. I really hoped she didn't do anything too stupid. Who was I to judge anyway?
I was so happy about this decision, not just because I needed a distraction but because I needed some space and freedom.
I felt like I was suffocating with the pregnancy act and the constant caring and questioning. Not to forget the uncomfortable bump I had to wear every day.
So I was happy to get away.As usual, we flew in his private jet to a far and distant small city. The idea was just to blend in like normal people, regardless of our status in Roosevelt, and have fun.
No one knew who we were anyway, and that was what made it more satisfying.
Nicholas already had booked a beautiful duplex for us to stay in for the week. We took our separate bedrooms and settled in.
Around eight o'clock in the night, Nicholas came knocking at my door.
"Come in," I said, and he opened the door and leaned on the doorway. He was shirtless again, wearing just joggers.
My eyes immediately glanced down his really fine torso to his waistline before I quickly looked up at his face.
"Are you ready for tonight?" He asked, and my eyes widened.
"Tonight?" I asked, my mind going dirty instantly. What was he suggesting?
"Yeah, we planned to go out, remember, to have fun," he reminded me.
"Oh... yes," I recalled. What the hell was I thinking?
"I was thinking of a club," I suggested."Weird choice, may I ask why?" He asked me.
"Well, I guess I'm not looking for a real date, just a... you know, " I said, hoping I wouldn't need to complete the word for him to get it.
He looked at me with complete ignorance, waiting for me to continue."Oh my god, I'll just say it. A sex date or fuck date, whatever it is called," I spelt it out.
He smiled at my reaction."I just want to get laid so bad," I continued. I had no idea why I was being so open about my plans. Maybe I just wanted him to think I wasn't interested in him or maybe I just dying to make him jealous.
But then again, he always had this face that was void of emotions, like he never wanted to show how he really felt about something.
"Then you shall get laid tonight," he said, not displaying any form of emotion.
"Get dressed, we will go to a club together. I bet I also need to get laid," he said, smiling devilishly, before leaving and closing my door.
