This week has moved on interestingly. I have no clue how else to describe it. It's just been interesting.
The rumor mill has exploded, of course. My favorite so far has been the one about me and Valen having a meet-cute in a restaurant and him telling the waiter to "back off." There have been some weird ones, though. I refuse to remember them.
Except for that one about him being in a gang and his gang kidnapping me and he finds out and gets really angry and blah blah blah. I'll spoil it for you: It ends with sex.
Urk.
Of course, this whole thing has to seem real. For the entirety of this week, I've sought Valen out between classes, hung out with him during D block in the library, and gone over to his table after I'm finished eating my lunch.
Today is finally Friday. This means a lot of things.
Firstly, according to Amber and her sleuthing, Hunter is back from his college visits. He will find out today that me and Valen are "talking." His reaction could be fear or anger. We'll deal with that when it comes around, I guess.
Secondly, tonight is the huge party thing. Yay.
Thirdly, Valen and I become an official "couple" tonight.
I'm stressing out about it all.
Today is just gonna be a day, I think. I woke up late this morning. I'm currently rushing my butt into the school, trying to avoid the randos in the hallways. I also have to decide if I'm telling Amber about this deal or not. On top of that, I feel like my heart is going to explode with anxiety because Hunter could ambush me. I'm scared that this will become an effete plan.
And now that I'm thinking about it, did I do my PreCal homework?
Oh, gosh. Did I?
Mr. Thomas sees me as he kicks the door stopper out of the door to shut it. He smiles at me and gives a small wave. "Better hurry, Miss Nico. I'm gonna shut the door in five, four, three—"
My legs are burning at this point. I'm trying not to pant because it was only like twenty feet, and that would be mortifying.
Mr. Thomas laughs as my hand hits the door to keep it open as he drops it. "Man, Nico. My Ellie could run faster than that and feel better than you do right now."
