"You are a thief and I am a beggar.
You have stolen everything from me,
The air from my lungs, the heart in my chest, And all the thoughts in my head.
The entirety of what you have stolen is yours, And I'm begging you to take more."

"Did you for real just give her your hoodie?" Jake smirks.
Rikkard hits my shoulder with a tiny grin, and I glare at him. "Dude, she accepted it."
I refuse to read too much into that. "Rikkard, her clothes were soaked. Of course she accepted it."
"Oh, I see," Jake jabs. "You really—"
"No, Jake," I demand.
"What? You don't even know what I—"
"Jake," I glower.
Jake shrugs, and I turn to Rikkard. "Margo spilt acid on her in Chemistry. She had to use the shower thing."
"What?" Rikkard blurts, his tone full of shock. "Why? Is it because of last year?"
I nod slowly. "I think so. I just can't understand what happened last year. I know she hates me now, but why? I never pegged her as that type of girl. We were literally friends."
I turn to Jake because he's gone quiet, but he's typing on his phone. His eyes glance halfway up before settling back down at his phone.
We start walking up to gym and change for workouts. I'll forever be thankful that there's an option for athletics during arts time. I've never been good at the arts. I do like literary arts, though.
Rikkard and I start our workouts together since Jake decided to go rouge today and workout with the baseball guys. Rikkard and I stick to our usual corner, and I relish the quiet, social-free zone. It's a good recharge.
I put my bar back down after a while and hop up. "Hey, you want me to fill your bottle up?"
Rikkard sits up from his spot on the ground, his empty bottle in his hand. "Nah, I could use the short walk."
I grab my bottle, and we walk over to the water fountain.
"Oh, my gosh. I know."
I glance over at Rikkard, and his eyes fill with mirth. We seem to have just beat the track girls to the fountain.
"Yeah, there's no way she hasn't yet. Mhmm. And with that hoodie? Definitely not. No way."
