"The difference between a good guy and a bad is that the good guy would sacrifice YOU to save the world whilst the bad guy would sacrifice the world to save YOU."

Nico opens the door and smiles up at me. "Come on in, Len."
I laugh and shut the door, shaking off the feeling her warm smile brings me. "You made up a nickname just to make a rhyme?"
She scowls, crossing her arms. Oh, she definitely did.
"Of course not," she scoffs, rolling her eyes. "I think it suits you."
I shake my head in response.
"What's your middle name?" she wonders out loud, a certain mischievous look on her face.
"No," I blurt. "That's where I draw the line."
"Oh, come on," She tries, walking to the kitchen.
I follow her.
Nico hands me a sandwich from the fridge that's already been prepared. She knows if we're gonna get any work done on our English project, I'll need food to focus. Except, even with the amazing sandwich, I still won't want to do it.
Regardless, I take it happily, darting my head down to hers to give her a quick peck on the top of her head in thanks.
The simple gesture shoots tingles down my spine, and I wonder how it made her feel.
We journey to the living room, and I drop my bag down on the floor dramatically.
"I do not want to work in this project," I announce, falling back into the couch.
Nico leaves her backpack on the floor and sits beside me. Yes. That means no project.
I turn my head over at her grin. "Mario Kart?"
"If you want to be beaten at it, loser," she snarks at me.
Ignoring what I really want to do and how I really want to respond, I make a face and stand. "Where are the controllers?"
Nico grabs the remote and clicks the tv on, switching to HDMI. "They're in a box in the cabinet to the right of the tv."
I shuffle through the box sitting in the top cabinet until I find two controllers. I rush back over, jumping onto the couch beside Nico and handing her the purple one. After fumbling under the arm of the couch, I finally find the lever to pull the seat-rest up.
As the sound of Mario Kart fills the living room, I stretch my legs out and gently sit my hands on top of Nico's legs. "Can I?"
Looking adorably confused, she nods. I pull her legs over mine and scoot my body closer to hers. I can feel the heat from her body seeping into my side. I watch Nico as she stares straight ahead and sneakily moves a hand up to her burning red cheek. I move a hand over my mouth, trying to cover the laugh that's about to burst out of me.
