Impossibilities

Day 2

Maddi's POV:

Having G.O. around was funny. He loved messing around and he was loud. He was nothing like D.O., opposites must attract. This morning was priceless.

G.O. spent the night and he walked in as Chanyeol and I were making breakfast. The rest of the members, including D.O., were seated at the island waiting. Well G.O. proceeded to walk in the kitchen in only his boxers and yell, "Salsy!"

I was mentally scarred and scared. The others seemed just as shocked, must be there first time too. What are we going to do with that boy?

Since we had two more days until we had to go back to Seoul, we decided to go to a movie. I really wasn’t up for it, but Kai changed my mind by saying I could sit next to him.

We went around 7:25 p.m. after eating at McDonald’s. What? They have good food. It was weird when we got in the theater, because Exo-K only sat with each other and MBLAQ sat with each other. We all sat in the same row, but it just seemed weird to me that we didn’t mix up or anything. D.O. and G.O. was the division of the two bands, of course they would sit next to each other.

I sat next to Kai and Chanyeol. All three of us shared popcorn while Baekhyun, Sehun, and Suho shared a tub of popcorn. Of course the couple shared their own popcorn, but had their own drinks. Everyone had their own. MBLAQ all had one tub to share, because they were still full from dinner.

Once the movie started, I barely paid attention to it, because I had already seen it with Deonne. She works at the movie theaters so we get in free all the time. We were watching 21 and Over. Good movie, but Kai was more interesting. Watching his facial expressions during the movie was quite entertaining. I would laugh every once in a while to show I wasn’t creeping on Kai.

I looked over at G.O. and D.O. an hour later when I heard Chanyeol tell them to get a room. They smiled and left the theater without saying a word. I shivered as the images of them filled my head. EW!

Thirty minutes later the movie was over and we all agreed not to go back home. Suho texted D.O. while Seungho texted G.O. to ask what dorm they went to. Ten minutes later they both texted back saying they were at Exo-K’s dorm and it was ok to come home. Regardless everyone went to MBLAQ’s dorm.

I didn’t feel like going back, so I told Kai I was going on a walk. He asked if he could join me and of course I said yes. He told the others we were going to the park. The sun was setting as we walked down the street looking for the closest park. After a couple minutes we found one. I ran over to the swing set and slid onto a swing.

“Did you enjoy the movie?” Kai asked as he walked behind me and lightly pushed me.

“Oh yeah, I loved it. How about you?” I smiled. Every time Kai’s rough hands brushed my back as he pushed me, a new waved of butterflies would erupt in my stomach.

“Well I couldn’t really concentrate on it that much. I felt like I was being watched. It was odd.” There was slight humor in his tone. I blushed as he caught the swing and pulled my back against his chest. “Did you enjoy the view during the movie Maddi.” His husky voice caused my breath to get caught in my throat. My heart was beating so loud that I’m pretty sure he could hear it.

“Very much so.” I giggled a bit. He let go of the swing and sat next to me on the next one. I calmed down, but was disappointed at the loss of his touch. After a couple minutes of silence, Kai finally spoke up.

“Hey Maddi, can I ask you a question?” I laughed.

“You just did.”

“Ok, the two questions. And by the way, you don’t have to tell me, I’m just curious. What is the worst relationship you had?” My breath caught in my throat for the second time this night. I started to sweat.

My worst relationship? Really? Why does he want to know that?

“Um.. well.. It’s a long story.” I could feel the pain in the bottom of my heart start to creep in.

“Well like I said, you don’t have to tell me. However, I will listen to whatever you have to say to me. I will always be there for you. That’s what members are for. I am hoping though, maybe we can be more.” More? I mean yes that is what I’ve always wanted. But, there was a part of me that still wanted to know him better. I’ve only been in this band for about a month and I’ve only flirted with Kai for about a week.

“Do you think we could get to know each other a little more first?” I asked him as I looked down at my hands.

“Of course. Take your time, there is no rush.” I could hear the disappointment in his voice. I felt so bad. I got up from the swing and offered him my hand.

“Come on. We should get back to the dorm.” He took my hand and smiled softly. We walked in a comfortable silence back to MBLAQ and Exo-K.
