Leaving Exo-K

Maddi’s POV:

I woke up, feeling much better. I got up and left my room, heading to the living room, when I heard a familiar voice. I found Deonne talking to the rest of Exo-K.

“So what happened while we were gone?” Suho asked.

“I came over as soon as possible and went to go check on Maddi. When I did, some crazed girl was holding a knife to her throat. I yelled ‘hey’ and she turned around noticing me. She smiled evily, before running over to the window and jumping out. I checked to make sure Maddi was ok and that’s when I noticed this note.” I saw Deonne hand over a piece of paper to Suho. The rest of Exo-k crowded around him and all their eyes widen.

“What note?” I asked walking in.

“Maddi! You’re awake. How are you feeling?” Chanyeol asked. I shrugged.

“I am fine. Now what note?” They all looked at each other before Deonne stood up, taking the note from Suho, and walking over to me. She handed me the note. My eyes widen as I read the disturbing warning written by none other than Brittany. Tears began to build in my eyes, so I threw the note on the floor and ran to my room.

I slammed my door and ran into the bathroom. I bent over the toilet and let out everything that happened to be in my stomach, which was only water. I held back the tears as I flushed the toilet and rinsed out my mouth. I needed to relax and get myself together. You are stronger than this Maddi. Get it together.

I left the bathroom to find Kai sitting on my bed. He was hunched over, his elbows resting on his knees and his face buried in his hands. I went over and sat down next to him. I tried to think about what I wanted to say, but words couldn’t form.

“I am sorry Maddi. So very sorry. I don’t want her to hurt you and I can’t always be here to protect you.” I was about to tell him that everything was going to be ok, but then I realized what he was saying.

“No Kai… Don’t do this…” I begged.

“I have no choice Maddi. It is the only way I can get her to leave you alone. I already talked to the company and they said you are free to go.” He finally lifted his head and looked at me. He had tears in his eyes, which made my heart twitch and my eyes to shed tears.

“Please Kai… We can work through this. I mean… I… If this is what you want. I will leave Exo-K.” I wiped my eyes and stood up. “I’ll be gone by tonight.” I walked out of my room and thankfully Deonne was still here.

“Maddi, are you ok?” She asked, noticing my tears.

“Can I stay with you and B.A.P.? I am leaving Exo-K.” Everyone gasped, except for Suho. It wouldn’t surprise me if he already knew. I nodded and looked at Deonne.

“Of course you can Maddi. You can stay as long as you need to.” She pulled me into a hug and I held on tightly.

“Will you help me pack?” She let go and gave me a sad smile.

“Of course, let’s go.” She pulled me back to my room, where Kai no longer was, and helped me pack most of my stuff. When we were finished, it was around dinner time. The guys asked me if I wanted to eat with them one last time, but it would hurt too much. I gave them all one final hug, all but Kai. He was locked in his room, refusing to come out.

“We will all miss you Maddi! Visit soon!” They all shouted and waved as I got into Deonne’s car. I waved back, taking one look at the building. I caught of glimpse of Kai at his bedroom window looking down. His eyes were red and puffy and he was biting his lip. He gave me a small wave, before we had drove away. I was going to miss them all too.

Once we arrived at B.A.P.’s dorm, I was hugged by them all.

“Maddi! It is so much to meet you!” They all cheered. I smiled at their warm hospitality, but it was a small one.

“Are you sure it is ok if I stay here?” I asked.

“Of course it is. We wouldn’t let Deonne’s friends sleep outside anyways.” Yongguk said.

“So where will I sleep?” I asked.

“Well Daehyun and Youngjae are going to share a room, so you can have one of theirs. I hope that is ok?” Himchan asked.

“Fine as long as I can get some sleep and privacy.” I smiled. Deonne laughed a bit, before helping me carry my bags to a room labeled “Youngjae.”

“Youngjae has one of the cleanest rooms, so I thought it would be better if you took this room then Daehyun’s messy one.” I nodded looking around. The room looked like no one lived in here. Everything was in its place perfectly.

“Thank you so much Deonne. Now if you excuse me, I’d like to get some sleep.” She nodded and said goodnight, before leaving the room. I plopped down on the bed, not bothering to change into pajamas. I just wanted to sleep and get my mind cleared. I took a deep breath as I slipped into a scary dream.
