Impossibilities

Surprise!

 

Maddi’s POV:

I sat by Kai’s side until visiting hours were over. He still hadn’t woken up since he passed out upon our arrival.

“Do you think he will be ok?” I asked the doctor before leaving.

“We can’t tell. He might wake up from the coma, yet he might let go. He lost a lot of blood, and it seems he is battling with his inner self. We will do all we can and call you if anything changes. Try and get some sleep.” He said. I nodded, thanked him, and left. I decided to head to the Exo apartments. When I got to the Exo-K’s dorm, everyone was surprised to see me.

“Maddi, what are you doing here?” Baekhyun asked when he opened the door for me. He stepped aside and I stepped inside.

“Hey guys.” I said as I walked over to the couch and sat down.

“By any chance, do you know were Kai is?” Suho asked, sitting next to me.

“Oh, ummm… about that. I have some not so great news, but before I say anything I want manager hyung on the phone or here.” I said. Suho took out his phone without hesitation and called my old manager.

“Yeoboseyo manager hyung. Do you think you could come to the dorm right now? It’s about Jongin.” He stopped talking and I could hear the manager’s voice. “Ok then; I’ll put you on speaker. Maddi is here and has something to say.” Suho placed the phone in between us and nodded towards me. I took a deep breath and began to talk, the memory going through my mind.

“Yeoboseyo. Let me get right down to the point of all this. Brittany got a hold of me even after I left Exo-K. She wanted to kill me; told me that she had to end my life to end Kai’s feelings for me, yet she wanted to give me a fighting chance. So I sent the coordinates she sent me to Kai, so he was there. In the midst of our fight, Brittany pulled out a gun and shot Kai. I knocked her out and got him to the hospital as fast as I could, but he lost a lot of blood which forced him into a coma. He hasn’t woken up since. I did the best I could, but I’m sorry for not protecting him.” I bit my lip to hold back the tears. I glanced up at the others who were shocked and some crying already.

“So where is she now?” Manager asked. I widen my eyes and gasped as realization hit me.

“Oh my God, she is still in my car!”

“Well get her to the police station. I need to go so I can cancel Exo-K’s schedule while Kai is in the hospital. I’ll talk to you later. Let me know if anything changes. Anyong-hi kyeseyo!” He said before hanging up.

“What do we do now?” Sehun broke the silence. I opened my mouth to respond, but a gun cocking stopped me. I stood up and turned around to see Brittany pointing a gun right at me. She was smirking.
