The company's annual dinner for the launch of their new project and partnership had been meticulously arranged and executed. It was an event anticipated by both the media and other companies, given the promise of significant revelations. One of the main highlights of the evening was the public reveal of the actual CEO of Sarocha Enterprises.

As the guests gathered in the grand hall, there was a buzz of excitement in the air. The event was adorned with elegance, from the decor to the sumptuous spread of food. Attendees from various companies and media outlets filled the room, eager to witness the unfolding of the night.

All eyes were on Freen, the CEO of Sarocha Enterprises. She had been the subject of much intrigue, given her elusive public persona. Her appearance at the event only intensified the anticipation.

Walking beside her was her partner, Patricia Johnson, a striking and enigmatic figure. The guests were in awe of their beauty and the chemistry between them. The reveal of Freen's partner in real life was met with astonishment and admiration.

As the night progressed, Freen and Patricia mingled with the attendees, leaving a lasting impression of power and grace. The annual dinner had become a remarkable occasion, not only for the project launch but also for the revelation of Freen's true identity and her captivating partner, leaving the guests intrigued and impressed.

Becky's heart raced as she checked her phone, knowing that her family would be arriving at the event soon. Her brother, Richie, sent her a message asking where she was. She quickly replied, "I'll be there in a minute. You go ahead with the parents."

Richie responded with a sense of urgency, "You have to go, Bec. This is an important event for our family."

"I know," Becky replied to the message before shifting her attention back to Freen.

Freen asked, "What's wrong?"

Becky hesitated and then responded, "Nothing, just work stuff."

Freen's mother, who was seated nearby, overheard their conversation and inquired, "So, Patricia, how long have you been close to Freen?"

Before Becky could answer, Freen interjected, offering an explanation. "We got close when I had a business meeting in Chiang Mai, and she works at the company I was dealing with."

Suddenly, there was commotion at the event, indicating the arrival of the Armstrong family. Freen's mother quickly shifted her focus to the newcomers and headed in their direction.

Becky watched in surprise as Freen's mother and the Armstrong family engaged in conversation. "I didn't know my mom would be close with Freen's mother," she thought, intrigued by the unfolding interactions.

Becky's phone buzzed with a message from Richie: "Bec, I've already arrived. Where are you? You should have been here." Panic surged within her. "What am I going to do next? Changing into new clothes might take some time," Becky thought.

Thinking on her feet, Becky quickly informed Freen, "Freen, I need to use the restroom. I have a terrible stomachache."

Freen seemed understanding and granted her permission to go. Becky rushed to the restroom, where she changed her clothes and wig, ensuring she wouldn't be recognized. After a bit of time, she successfully transformed her appearance and rejoined the event, careful not to let Freen see her.

Relieved that her family's table was quite far from Freen's, Becky quietly joined them. Richie, her brother, was visibly annoyed. "Finally, you're here. Do you have any idea how long we've been waiting for you?" he scolded her.

Freen POV

From my vantage point, I observed Becky's reaction to the event, and I couldn't help but admire her poise. She navigated tricky questions from the guests, particularly her mother, about her background with remarkable composure, despite knowing the inner turmoil she was grappling with. She appeared radiant and composed, handling the evening's challenges with grace.

"She's so pretty tonight," I thought as my eyes lingered on Becky beside me. My heart quickened, and I briefly wondered if something was wrong with my heart, which had me momentarily distracted. I was brought back to reality by Becky's voice, as she asked, "Is there something wrong with my makeup?"

I quickly composed myself, realizing I had been lost in thought. "No, your makeup is fine," I replied, trying to mask my feelings.

Becky, however, remained engrossed with her phone, likely texting someone. I couldn't help but feel restless as I noticed her glancing at someone and displaying signs of wanting to escape the situation. The message from Richie interrupted my thoughts, explaining his family's expected delay, but what intrigued me more was how Becky intended to disguise herself as two people simultaneously.

"I need to go to the restroom. I have a terrible stomachache," Becky said, attempting to convince me, and I knew about her plan. I decided to let her go and gave her permission. I watched as Becky tried to make it seem as if she was genuinely unwell while hurrying toward the restroom. I couldn't help but chuckle at her efforts, enjoying the role she was playing. The game had begun, and I couldn't help but think, "Rebecca Armstrong, you've certainly started quite the drama."

My mother, who observed the situation, appeared bewildered and asked, "Freen, why are you laughing? It's a miracle to see you enjoying yourself like this. Is Patricia truly bringing you happiness?"

I corrected her, saying, "Mom, her name is Rebecca, not Patricia." I decided to leave the explanation for later, adding, "Right now, just enjoy the drama skits performed by your own daughter."
