Freen POV
I felt a numbness washing over me after the sudden confession to Becky. The truth was, I genuinely loved her, but the realization that she was still in contact with Nop stung me deeply. As Becky distanced herself from me, I decided to let her go.
Turning my attention to my mom, I tried to act normal, masking the turmoil in my heart. The conflicting emotions overwhelmed me. I hadn't chosen to feel this way, and regulating my emotions, especially when it came to Becky, seemed impossible. She was the only one who could stir these intense feelings within me. Sighing deeply, I grappled with the complexity of my emotions.
Fah POV
Fah, sensing something amiss with her daughter Freen, decided to gather information from Freen's secretary, shocked by what she discovered about Freen's recent activities. Despite the unexpected turn of events at the dinner event, Fah found herself intrigued by Freen's recent positive changes. Witnessing Freen's struggle to express her feelings, especially in matters of love, Fah recognized the impact of Freen's traumatic childhood and broken family.
Observing Freen's interaction with Becky, Fah noticed in her daughter's emotional state. As Becky sought permission to leave, Fah could sense the inner turmoil between both Freen and Becky. Offering support, Fah patted Freen's back and hugged her.
"Don't worry, your relationship is still in its early stages. Don't be too hard on her. Give her time. If she's the stubborn one, you have to be the patient one. Sometimes, authority is not the solution," Fah reassured her daughter.
Becky was in a state of shock after Freen's sudden confession. She hadn't expected such behavior from Freen, and throwing her phone crossed a line for Becky. As she left Freen's house, she found herself reminiscing about their moments together-the intense gaze, the softness of Freen's lips on hers, and the kiss that stirred sensations and butterflies in her stomach. Becky couldn't help but touch her lips, still feeling the lingering softness from Freen's kiss.
Embarrassed by these thoughts, Becky tried to distract herself, but the memory of her destroyed phone resurfaced. She cursed under her breath, blaming Freen for the situation. Upon arriving home, she headed straight to her room, ignoring her brother's teasing about Freen. The weight of Freen's confession lingered in her mind, and it left Becky feeling annoyed.
Becky's fingers tightened around the tennis racket as she tried to focus on the game, the rhythmic thud of the ball against the strings providing a temporary escape. Her mind, however, was a battlefield, grappling with thoughts of Freen and the lingering sensation of their kiss.
"Come on, Becky, get a grip," she scolded herself internally. "You don't have to think about her. She's not someone special for you, and I deserve better than her."
But no matter how hard she tried to push those thoughts away, they persisted. Freen's radiant smile, her gestures, and the way her lips felt against Becky's were etched in her mind. She shook her head aggressively, hoping to physically dispel the distracting thoughts, but it only drew a chuckle from Richie.
"Wow, looks like you can't accept your loss in the game, and I'm the winner," teased Richie, oblivious to the emotional turmoil within Becky.
Becky forced a laugh, her eyes not meeting Richie's. "Yeah, yeah, you're the winner," she replied, trying to sound carefree. Inside, her heart felt heavy.
During the break on the bench, Richie's concern cut through the façade. "Sis, you okay? You seem distracted today, like you've been thinking about someone."
Becky took a deep breath, attempting to compose herself. She took a sip of water, the cool liquid providing a momentary reprieve. Richie's teasing, however, hit too close to home.
"Why thinking about Freen? Did you guys do something yesterday?" Richie continued, a mischievous grin on his face.
Becky's face turned crimson, and without warning, she took a mouthful of water and unintentionally sprayed it through her laughter, drenching Richie's face.
"Gross, Bec!" exclaimed Richie, wiping water from his face with a grimace.
Becky couldn't help but join in Richie's laughter, but underneath the surface, the internal struggle persisted. Freen's presence lingered, refusing to be ignored, and Becky couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that her heart was treading on unfamiliar territory.
Freen's fingers tapped nervously on the sleek surface of the new phone in her hand. The weight of her recent behavior weighed heavily on her, and she knew she had to find a way to apologize to Becky. As she scrolled through the features of the phone, she couldn't help but feel a sense of inadequacy in her attempts to make amends.
"What should I do? How do I even react when I see her?" Freen questioned herself, anxiety bubbling up. The uncertainty of how Becky would respond gnawed at her, and she wished she could turn back time to undo the unease she might have caused.
With a sigh, Freen turned to the internet for guidance, searching for tips on reconciling with someone special. As she delved into articles and comments, a sense of skepticism crept in.
"Taking her to dance to reconcile? What does that even mean?" Freen mumbled, raising an eyebrow at some of the suggestions she found. The generic advice seemed impractical, and she couldn't imagine how it would fit their situation.
Frustrated with the generic tips, Freen contemplated her own approach. "Maybe I should do it my own way," she thought, determined to find a more genuine way to apologize and clear the air with Becky.
As she made her way to Becky's house, Freen's nerves intensified. Thoughts of the impending conversation swirled in her mind. "Reconciling might be challenging, but we can't expect the result, right?" she reminded herself, hoping that her sincerity would shine through and help bridge the gap between them.
Freen took a deep breath, phone in hand, and knocked on Becky's door, ready to face the challenge head-on and make amends for her actions.
