Rosalie wakes up with a startle, looking around and inspecting her surroundings quickly, looking for a threat. As she's scanning her surroundings, she immediately realizes that she's no longer in the forest, but instead is in someone's home.

A noise coming from the foot of the bed she's laying on forces her to sit up, her side hurting at the sudden movement and making her flinch. A young woman makes her way quickly to her.

-"You're safe. Please, lay down. It's okay, you're safe." - The woman urgently tells her, in a kind voice.

-"Who are you? Where am I?"

-"My name is Chantria and this is my daughter Fay." - The woman tells Rosalie, pointing at the young girl hiding behind her. -"She found you near the path that leads to the Ancients' Ring while collecting wood with her father, my husband Bassel. When he saw that you were still alive but losing blood, he brought you here, to our home, so I could take care of you."

-"Thank you. The both of you." - Rosalie says, looking at them both and smiling.

-"You're welcome. You need to rest. I don't know how long you were out there, but the best thing you can do right now is rest. Like I said, you are safe here and you can stay for as long as you need to get better."

-"I can't stay that long, for your own safety."

-"We are far into the woods, away from the nearest village by at least half a day and from the Ancients' Ring by an hour. No one ever comes this way."

-"Thank you, really."

As much as Rosalie hates the idea of putting innocent people in danger, something that is a high probability if the people that were shooting at her decide to follow her, she knows that she's in no condition to go anywhere at the moment.

Allowing exhaustion to take over, Rosalie knows that Chantria is right, she needs rest. So, for now, she will stay in that little cabin and allow these kind people to take care of her. But as soon as she is able, she will leave, for her safety as much as theirs.
