Tom

"Of course."

"Katy never told me."

"Katy is not her mother."

"Oh."

"Her mother is my ex-wife."

"You were married to someone else before Katy?"

"Yes."

"How old is she?"

"Jasmine's 10. I haven't seen her in 5 years and now that Janice actually allowed me to see her, I've spent a lot of time with her. That's why we didn't speak for a few days."

"It's okay, I promise."

"I really want to be with you, Val. I mean... I know we hardly know each other but I want to get to know you and I want to see if we have potential."

"You do?"

"Yes. Especially with the shit we're both going through now. I mean... I know we only hooked up once and have been through a lot, but I see how strong of a woman you are, and you definitely give different vibes than Katy ever did."

"Is that a good thing?"

Tom smiled. "Very. So... I mean, do you want to give me a chance?"

"Sure."

"Good."

Danny

I thought nothing of proposing to Katy, but I couldn't help but to feel angry knowing that Valentina's in a relationship with someone else. I fucked up our marriage and there is nothing I can do to change it.

I needed to speak to her whether if she wanted to or not. But before I had the chance to motion her to come to my office, Katy approached me. "Hi, babe."

"Hi."

"I can't wait to marry you!"

"Yeah."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Danny..."

"Seriously, Katy. I'm fine."

"I don't believe that."

"I'm fine, I need to handle some things, I will see you later."

Saying that I'm fine was a lie. I hated the fact that Valentina was with someone else. I hurt her, but it crushed me that she moved on.

After Katy left, I opened my email up and sent an email to Valentina.

Valentina,

I highly doubt you'll even respond, but I'm sorry. For everything. I was a greedy son of a bitch considering what I did. I hurt not only you, but our kids. I wish I could start things all over because I would in a heartbeat. I fucked up majorly and I hate myself for it but we both have moved on. Well, you have anyways... Regardless of the facade that I show at work, it's a lie. I dream of you every single night. I can't get you out of my mind no matter how hard I try to not think about you, and it seems like it is getting harder each day that passes. I'm sorry for everything. I know you wouldn't show up to my wedding (understandably so), but I do wish you happiness, Val. Just know that I won't lose feelings for you.

Valentina

I opened the email from Danny and had to of read it at least five times. I knew that each word was bullshit. If he really cared, we would've been together and he wouldn't have done what he did to hurt not only me, but also Maverick and Callie.

"Val..."

I looked up from my computer screen and saw Danny. "What do you want?"

"I can't stop apologizing to you. Hell, I hate myself."

I looked at his bare left finger and shook my head. "You really think that I would forgive you?"

"No. But I just wanted to say sorry."

"It's whatever, Danny. You have Katy now, enjoy her."

"She's not you."

"You really think that I would believe your words?"

"No."

"Exactly. But I have to go, I have an appointment."

I stood up, grabbed my purse and said goodbye to Micah. I called Tom and told him that I was going to get my hair done and that I wouldn't be home until later. The woman who greeted me was nice. "Hello, you must be Valentina?"

"Yes."

"I'm Danielle."

"Hi. Nice to meet you."

"Likewise!"

After she finished dying my hair, I suddenly felt my stomach churning. "Umm excuse me, but is there a bathroom?"

"Second door on the left."

I could barely make it to the toilet when I threw up. Oh god...

I went back out and looked at Danielle, handing her money. "Thank you so much for doing my hair."

Danielle smiled. "Of course. Here is my card if you are interested in seeing me again."

"Thank you, Danielle."

I rushed to the store and bought a pregnancy test. This was not something that I wanted to do, but I had no choice. I needed to be sure.

After I left the store, I went home and took the test out of the bag. Taking a deep breath, I did what I needed to do and waited.

I stared at the test in shock and called Micah. "You're pregnant?"

"Yes."

"Is it Tom's?"

"I'm freaking out. What if he walks out on me?"

"Girl, he's your boyfriend."

"Doesn't mean that he wouldn't leave."

"Babe?"

Suddenly, I heard Tom's voice come from downstairs and I hung up. "Hey."

Tom had Callie in one arm and Maverick in the other. "They were at your brother's."

"Okay."

"You, okay?"

"Y-yeah."

"Val..."

"I think the kids should go to their rooms before we have this conversation."

"Okay."

He took the kids upstairs, my nerves shooting through the roof. I was scared to tell him. But I had no choice.

"So..."

"Tom, I'm pregnant."

"You're what?"

"I took a test today."

"Are you kidding me?"

"No."

"It's okay."

"What?"

Tom smiled. "I am okay with it."

"But you already have a daughter and..."

"I don't care. I'm a big boy and can do it."

"Wow, I... didn't know if you would be mad or something."

He shook his head and kissed me. "Quite the contrary."

If Tom was really excited or not, I had no clue, but I still questioned if he really would be okay with it eventually.
