Valentina

Shock and awe were an understatement. Seeing my sister after a few months of not speaking was beyond a surprise.

The scowl on her face clearly showed how unhappy she was to see me. "What is she doing here?"

"Do you know each other?"

My sister looked at Danny and nodded. "Yes, she's my younger sister."

"Oh, you never told me that you had a sister."

That was no surprise. Everything revolved around her, nothing or no one else mattered to her, all she cared about was herself.

"Nice to see you, sis."

Lia rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

"Bitch," I mumbled.

Lia looked at me and scowled. "Excuse me?"

"Val..."

I looked at my brother and shook my head. "If I knew you were coming, I wouldn't have shown up."

I felt a hand caress my upper thigh and noticed the small smirk on Danny's face. Shoving his hand off of my leg, I stood up. "I apologize, but I am leaving."

"Val, you can't just walk away. We had a surprise for you."

"Thanks, but no thank you. Whatever you had for me, I couldn't care less."

"Valentina!"

I knew it was wrong of me to walk away from the table, but I was in no mental state to face my rude mother. Calling an Uber, I sent a text to Micah to meet me at the club downtown for some drinks.

"I can't believe he's married to your sister."

"Tell me about it."

"How did she react around you?"

"Unhappy, but I couldn't care less about her at this point. She treated me like shit and now that she has a rich husband, I think that she's gotten even worse."

"You can't avoid her forever, Val."

Throwing a shot back, I shook my head. "No, but I refuse to be around her."

Danny

Knowing that Valentina is my wife's younger sister only makes me want her more. I knew it was wrong to even think about her in that way, but she was by far a 10 out of 10, compared to Lia.

I had several questions that I could ask Lia, but I knew that it would only piss her off more than she already is right now. Sitting through dinner was already hard enough seeing Valentina leave, but having to listen to Lia continually complain about her since the moment we got home has irritated me more and more.

"I can't believe you would actually hire her."

"Lia, I had no idea."

"Well, she better keep her hands off of you or else."

"Or else what?"

Lia glared at me. "You are MY husband, not hers."

"I don't have any relationship other than an employee/employer."

"It better stay that way."

If only Lia knew the things that I wanted to do her.

After Lia fell asleep, I sent Valentina a message, hoping for an answer: You don't know what you're missing out on, sweetheart. You can play hard to get all you want, but you will soon break, especially the moment I have you on your knees begging for me.
