Valentina
"Oh my god, Antonio. What is this?"
"As a token of my thank you for joining us."
"But how? We've just met."
Pablo shrugged. "We couldn't help ourselves, mi amor."
Antonio put the bracelet on my wrist and handed me the earrings. "Thank you so much, Antonio."
"Of course."
The night sadly came to an end and the guys followed us back to our rooms. "This is where we part our ways."
I felt a small hint of sadness. "What is the matter?"
I looked at Antonio and shrugged. "I just had a lot of fun and I know we won't see each other again."
"Never know, mi amor. Maybe I will come visit America."
"Really?"
Antonio nodded. "For a goddess like you? Of course. You can call or text me whenever you would like. When do you leave?"
"Next week."
"Well, you may call or text me."
"I will most definitely do that, Antonio."
Smiling, I allowed Antonio to wrap his arms around my waist and kiss me one last time. "Until next time, mi amor."
Just as Antonio left, Micah rushed up to me with her phone in her hand. "Val..."
"What is it?"
I knew something was wrong by the look on her face. "What's wrong?"
"Take a look for yourself."
I took her phone and scowled, looking at the photo on Tom's Facebook. "What the fuck?"
"Nick and your uncle left early. They met girls at the bar, and it appears that it was not just to have a few drinks."
"Antonio!" I rushed down the hallway and caught Antonio before he left.
"Hello again, mi amor."
"Umm would you like for us to stay with you tonight?"
"With us?"
"Yes. I need to get away from here for a night."
"Of course!"
Antonio grabbed my hand and took us to their house. "Wow. You have a nice place here, Antonio."
"Thank you, mi amor."
After we got settled in the bedrooms, I opened up to Antonio what I had just seen. "I am so sorry, mi amor."
"I should've known."
Antonio cupped his hand under my chin and smiled. "You don't deserve a man like that, mi amor."
"It's not the first time that this has happened, so it's whatever, I guess."
"It is not whatever, you deserve better. I should come to America, no?"
"But you have family here, and..."
"Sé que mi familia está aquí, pero tú eres más importante mi amor."
"Really?"
"Yes."
After Antonio fell asleep, I looked up at the ceiling wondering if I should accept Antonio's offer. I barely knew the guy, but maybe it was a good idea. I did after all enjoy his company and he was my distraction tonight. I only questioned what could happen once.
