Valentina

After Danny paid Kayla, I grabbed my phone and took a picture of my ring and sent it to Micah and Lia in a group text.

Micah: OMG!!

Lia: It's gorgeous!

Valentina: I would say he did a good job this time.

Lia: Have fun on your trip!

Micah: take pics for me?

Valentina: Of course.

It was 7:30 when Callie woke us up. "Are we going now?"

"I'm going to get your brother up and we will get some breakfast first."

"But I want to go now!"

"I'll order some room service, sweetheart. How does that sound?"

Callie nodded. "Yay!"

After breakfast, I changed into my bathing suit and as promised, we took them to the waterpark. "What would you like to go to first?"

"Water slide!"

For it being in the morning, the lines were fairly short, and the kids were worn out by lunch time. "I hope you guys had fun."

"We did, thank you mommy!"

I smiled and kissed Maverick's forehead. "You are so welcome but thank daddy more than anything."

Danny looked at me and smiled. "I hope you are having fun as well."

"Are you kidding? Of course, I am!"

"Good."

The three days went by sadly very quickly, but I would definitely say that it was a good weekend.

"I know the kids didn't want to leave, but it feels good to kind of be back home."

"I agree. So, when are we planning to get married again?"

"Soon. You excited?"

"Umm yes. I would hope you are too."

"It takes quite a while for the planning, but within the next few months. I promise."

"It better be."

"We should get some sleep. We have to go to work in the morning."

"Yeah, yeah. Don't remind me."

I laughed. "We had a fun trip, it's something that I won't forget."

"Nor will I."

*** After months of Micah talking my ears off about getting an appointment with a wedding planner, I had finally agreed. "The sooner, the better! Especially since summer is a pretty busy time for weddings."

"True."

"Have you chosen out some dresses yet?"

"I haven't gone to the shop yet."

"Well, your mother and I are deciding to take you Friday."

"That's tomorrow."

"Better do it now before they sell out."

"You didn't have to."

"Hey, I want my best friend's dress to look amazing!"

"You guys are the best."

"Damn right we are!"

When I got home, I saw dinner was already prepared. "Hey. How was work?"

"What are you doing home so early?"

Danny smiled. "I wanted to make my beautiful fiancé my own dinner tonight."

"Well, that wasn't necessary."

"Kids are already in bed as well."

"God, I love you."

"I love you too."

"I have an appointment at 9 with a wedding planner tomorrow."

Danny smirked. "I take it that it will be happening soon then?"

"By summertime."

"I already planned stuff out with the boys."

"Such as?"

"Our fittings, the bachelor party, all of those things."

"You're way ahead of me."

"Hey, I'm excited for it to happen as soon as possible."

"It will, don't worry."

After I finished dinner, I went to bed. I had a busy day tomorrow.

*** The next morning: I arrived at the boutique just before 9 with Lia and Micah. "Thanks for taking me."

"Of course, honey!"

The woman sitting at a desk smiled at Lia. "Lia!"

"Hi, Sydney."

"How are you? It's been so long!"

"I am good. This is my sister, Michelle."

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

"So, did you have any potential ideas of a date?"

"We are aiming for this summer."

"Well, we have some perfect vendors around Austin that have a few openings between June through August. I highly recommend visiting The Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, The Allan House and Brodie Homestead. They are the top locations in Austin, but you need to call for a reservation as soon as possible. I have the numbers of the women who run those places if you would like."

"That would be great, thank you!"

Smiling, she grabbed her cellphone and wrote numbers and addresses down on a piece of paper and handed it to me. Just say that you got their number from Sydney Barker."

"Thank you so much."

"Of course! Give me a call if you need anything else."

"Thank you, Sydney."

After I got home, I saw Danny in the kitchen making dinner. "How was your day?"

"Good. I made a couple of phone calls for some recommended vendors and we're going in two weeks."

"Already?"

"She gave some good suggestions, and the places look absolutely stunning."

"Sounds good to me."

"Where are the kids?"

"Callie didn't want to cooperate, but I got her to finally fall asleep."

"She's been pretty tough lately to get to sleep."

"It'll get better."

"Hopefully. I can't to marry you again."

"Me too."
