{Lukas' Point of View}
Dew and Dylan had restrained the black cloaked boy. The assassin tried to pull away from the two strong boys, but the boy only budged slightly.
I pulled his cloak off quickly. His eyes glared at me, his fists clenching to attack me. His whole body tensed when I walked near him. He wanted to kill me. Well boohoo, kid, assassin or not, you can't kill me, I thought.
Eliz stood off to the side with Bay. The assassin looked over at them. His lips turned up into a charming smile. Dew's hands tightened on the boy's arms, causing him to wince.
"Moron," Eliz mumbled, glaring at him before she came to stand in front of him. She gestured for Dylan and Dew to release him. As soon as they did, he lunged at me, but she grabbed him and dragged him away by his ear. He yelped in pain as she pushed him to sit on the ground. "Be a good boy, and maybe we won't kill you."
He rolled his eyes at her and yanked her down to the ground with her. Dew growled, but when Eliz gave him a reassuring grin and scooted a little away from the assassin, he stayed away, with a glare directed at the boy, such a evil and menace filled glare that it would've sent hell-hounds running away in fear.
The boy flirted shamelessly with Eliz and Bay, going so far as to kiss Bay's cheek. Eliz smacked him hard, making a red palm print on his cheek. He had the nerve to grin at her. Dew finally walked over, but he calmed down his flirting as soon as he saw Dew coming.
"Why are you here?" Eliz asked, standing. The boy grinned and reached up to pull her down. Dew snarled as his hand nearly touched her; I'd never seen a hand fall so fast to the ground.
"My father sent me to assassinate Lukas here. He knew Erin wouldn't let him die. So he sent me."
"Why does he want Lukas dead?"
"Lukas is in the way. And he deserves the underworld. Dad wants me to make it as painful as possible," the boy grinned sadistically and looked up at me.
"Who are you?"
"Call me Blaze," the boy told us, looking at Eliz. He was waiting for a reaction. I turned to see if she would have one, as well. Her eyes widened and her cheeks grew red with anger.
"Blaze, you mean Aether's descendant, my brother?" She yelled. "Dad sent you to kill Lukas?"
"Oh, Dad didn't just send me. He sent the whole group of descendants. You're the only light-bearer we don't have in our team. I know you hate Lukas as much as we do. Help us. "
"No way in Hell am I helping you murder my friend. I'm not losing two people I care about in the same day," Eliz seethed out.
"Ah, Eliz. So predictable," Aether sang out, from behind us. Everyone spun around, except Blaze. He grinned at me, his eyes baring holes in my back. I knew the dude had laser vision and everything.
Aether stood in front of 20+ people. All of them versions of him. All of them holding a weapon. All of them looking dangerous and violent. All of them wanting to kill me.
"Attack!" Blaze yelled. Suddenly the arena was another bloodbath as Eliz, Dew, Bay, Dylan, Pat, and Ryan protected me. Laser beams and fire leapt everywhere around us.
Something rammed into me, sending me flying. My head hit the ground, hard enough to cause a concussion. Someone stood over me as the black dots twinkled in my vision, cackling evilly. The darkness was closing in on me.
Blaze's glowing gold eyes were my last sight as I blacked out. Never had gold ever sent more shivers of terror up my back, until I met this assassin. His menacing laugh would forever be stuck in my head as he stood over me, towering. And then it was all darkness.
