{Dew's Point of View}

Eliz wasn't awake when I came back in, at 7 A.M. I didn't want to wake her, so I laid my body as quietly as possible on the cot next to her. A few minutes later, she shifted and hugged me. Her even breathing told me she was still asleep.

I turned in her arms to look at her beautiful face. She looked so peaceful, a gentle smile on her lips. Her eyelashes fluttered against her skin, once, twice, thrice. Her caramel eyes opened in confusion, widening when she saw me.

"Dew?" I leaned in and kissed her nose. "Uh...it's really early. Is it visitation hours already?"

"I snuck in to see you," I replied. She beamed at me and hugged me.

"Okay, Eliz. Let's take a look at your-hello," a doctor came in, looking down, as he spoke. As he looked up, his eyes locked on me. He stuttered and froze.

"What's up, Doc?" Eliz mimicked Bugs Bunny, pretending to crunch on a carrot. The doctor ignored her and stared at me.

"Family?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Boyfriend," Eliz said quickly. My heart leapt, but I didn't show my excitement.

"Really?" The doctor arched the eyebrow higher. Eliz rolled her eyes and leaned close to me. "My innocent eyes! Don't scar me!"

"You're a doctor. You've seen worse," I retorted before thinking. Doc grinned at me.

"True. Anyways. I need to check her temperature, blood pressure, and if she still has a concussion."

"You had a concussion?!" I stage-whispered.

"Nothing serious," the doctor continued. "Afterwards, you can sign her out."

"You want to get rid of me?" Eliz asked, her innocent face twisting into a little pout. My stomach clenched with a feeling of envy and anger. Jealousy.

"Nah. You're my favorite patient." The doctor said as he checked her. "No concussion. Her temperature is normal. Her blood pressure is a little low."

"Can I take her out now?" I glared at the doctor.

"Of course. You were a grand patient, Eliz. Bye." The doc said, exiting. I helped Eliz up and led her out of the hospital.

She glanced at me. "Why are you jealous of him? You're my soulmate." Those words sent a tingle through my body, you're my soulmate. She grinned at me when she noticed my breath was a little uneven.

"And you're mine," I whispered, pulling her closer to me. She sighed into my neck, her breath cool and gentle. I shivered slightly.

"There's no one else I'd rather belong to," she sighed.
