"Tomorrow, all of you are going outside," Lukas started, staring at us. "Many of you may not come back. Many of you will. It all depends on your fighting out there." He walked into the crowd, stopping in front of certain people.

"I have picked 5 people to choose their team. 6 people for each team, including the picker. When I call your name, come up here."

"Dew Bedford. Henry Loghan. Bella Edwards. Terra Forr. Alex Call." Dew walked up to the front of the room. I knew who he was going to pick.

"Dew. Pick 5 people."

"Eliz. Pierce. Tyler. Dylan. Bay." I arched my eyebrows, before looking at Eliz. She smiled in triumph and grabbed my arm, pulling me up. Two guys I presumed to be Tyler and Dylan nodded at me in greeting.

A small, petite girl that looked like Dew glanced up into my eyes. When her blue and silver eyes met mine, a shiver went up my back. Soulmate, my mind whispered. She must have felt it too, because her already doe-like eyes widened.

She tugged Dew's sleeve, but he ignored her. She glanced at me once more, smiling weakly. "Hi," she whispered.

"Hi," I mumbled back, smiling at her. Her eyes lit up.

"What did I do to deserve this hunk of hotness?" She muttered under her breath, looking at me through her eyelashes. I chuckled, which made her blush.

"Okay. Guys. Time for the plan," Dew said, drawing my attention back to him. Eliz smirked at Bay and I; she already knew, being a goddess of love and everything.

"I say we..." Eliz started, but the only thing I heard was "blah blah blah" as I stared at Bay. She was ignoring me, but I knew she could sense my glance in her.

"Pierce!" I snapped out of it when Eliz smacked my arm. Bay growled at her, to which Eliz ignored. I looked at Eliz as she hit me once more.

"What?" I asked, my tone annoyed.

"What the bloody hell do you think you're doing? I'm trying to come up with a plan and you haven't naffing heard a word of it!"

"I have, too!" I yelled. She looked at me, her eyes darkened. Challenge accepted, her eyes said.

"When are we going outside? When are we supposed to meet up? What are we supposed to bring?" I looked at her, dumbfounded.

"Um, uh...well, you said...um," I stammered, watching her eyes shine with anger. She turned to Dylan, whose eyes lit up at the sight of her.

"What did I say, so we can catch Pierce up, Dylan?"

"We're going outside sometime after dawn, after we meet up. We are supposed to meet up at the coffee shop after the sun comes up. We need to bring our swords and daggers, and other supplies that'll we'll need, like water or food." She smiled at him and he beamed back, his eyes wide with victory as he looked back at me.

"Dew," Bay spoke up. "I need to-"

"Not now, Bay!" Dew exclaimed, glaring at her.

"Fine!" She yelled. "I'll just take my soulmate and leave!" She grabbed my hand, sending a shiver up my back, and pulled me away.

Dew followed us with his eyes, before fist-pumping the air. Bay watched him, her eyes wide with confusion.

"No more competition for Eliz's heart, no more big bad Pierce coming to her rescue, no more Pierce having a crush on my girl. Yes!" He did a little victory dance, until he realized everyone was staring at him. I grinned at Bay, who smiled back at me.

Eliz grinned at her soulmate before shaking her head and continuing with the plans. Bay and I walked out, we knew what to do anyways.

Ife's beautiful eyes fluttered a few times as I was walking. Her hand twitched on my chest, and as I sped up a little, her body snuggled closer to me.

"Why are we going into town?" Carl asked, following slightly behind me.

"The medics can see what's wrong with her."

"Her face is burned, most likely from coffee, and her hair is cut off, most likely from a roommate's dislike of her. What else do you need?" Rosa growled out.

"Why are you being such a brat?"

"Because I think I know who did this to her."

"Who?" I turned slightly, feeling rather than seeing my soulmate's eyes open and focus on Rosa.

"Elizabelle Morgan," Rosa spat out, her eyes burning with hate.

"That's...that's right," Ife whispered, pulling Rosa's attention to her. "How do you know her?"

"She's the reason I'm going back to the ninja university. I have to destroy her." Rosa answered quickly. She turned to me. "And now you have reason to help me. She tormented your soulmate."
