Mask

Hiding when you're around is what it's come down to.

These feelings I''s've found I cannot undo.

But who cares about me, I'm worried about you.

You told me you've gone through depression once, too.

Did people depend on you?

Was it easy to find your strength?

Was it easy to fight through?

You tell me no..

That's sad to hear.

How did you fight?

You said you depended on things dear.

A simple word;

"Friends"

That's what we've been, right?

Or has it been your mask this whole time?

I would like to know..

Please, tell me before you go?

Let me know about your mask.

I know it's like a cover of gold.

But, why?

Tell this friend.

Take my hand, and tell me the truth.

Take off the mask of gold.

Let all the feelings go.

I'm here for you.

This is an old poem that I found yesterday on my Kindle
