^Emma's POV^

"Ugh, you're so difficult? Why am I even friends with you?" "You don't have to be!" "Then I won't be!" "Fine! "Fine. Bye Emma." She hung up after that. I sighed, and chucked my phone at the wall. where it bounced onto my bed. I felt like crying. My anger took over, I was such an awful person. Victory was only trying to defend Brandon, not break us up. Earlier today, I had met the boy I danced with at prom after Brandon left, Tyler, for coffee. He was a chill guy, really smart. Apparently I didn't tell her, because when she saw us when she picked up her own coffee, she thought something was going on, so she called me. I got defensive, and she thought I was covering up the two of us. So we started fighting, and that's how it ends.

I collapsed in my bed beside my phone. I didn't know what to do, but I felt like I needed to talk to someone. I assumed Mitch was probably making out with Jerome somewhere, and obviously I couldn't go to Vic. I decided that I had to talk to Brandon before Vic did, and the two of us lost trust.

I got in my car and drove to Brandon's, praying Vic didn't talk to him. My vision was slightly blurred, from the small tears pricking the corners of my eyes. I think I lost Vic. But I wasn't gonna lose Brandon while I was at it.

I pulled into Brandon's driveway and ran to the front door. I knocked, and when he opened it, I fling myself into his arms. "Emma? Are you okay?" He asked, wrapping his arms around me as he closed the door behind him and pulled us onto the porch. He sat us down on the deck chairs and I kept my arms tight around his neck. "Emma, what's wrong?" He asked calmly. "I-I'm so sorry Brandon... I... I went for coffee with Tyler, and Vic thinks I'm cheating, and I'm not, I mean, I... I- He's my friend now, b-but Vic-" "Shhh, Emma. Its okay, calm down. Stop crying." He cooed softly, and I took a few deep breaths. "Are you good?" He asked, once the tears stopped. "Y-Yeah." I answered, nodding slowly. "Okay. Tell me what's wrong." He said, still amazingly calm. "I met Tyler-" "Christie?" Brandon asked. "Yeah, Tyler Christie. (A/N: Is that how you spell it? Idek XD ~Rosie) Anyway, we met for coffee down at Embers, and Vic was there... She yelled at me for cheating on you. I yelled back that I wasnt, and we started fighting, and now she's mad. I wasn't cheating on you, I love you too much. And Tyler has a girlfriend, I'm pretty sure. A... Alexa? No, that's Adams girlfriend.... Whatever. I just... Please don't be mad at me." I pretty much explained my situation. "Em, why would I be mad?" Brandon asked. "Because you think I'm cheating on you." I said sadly, looking away. "No I don't." He answered, and I turned back to him. "Really?" I asked. He pecked my lips. "Of course. You say you weren't, I believe you. I trust you, Emma." Brandon said, slightly smiling. "You are the most amazing person I've ever met." I whispered as I hugged him again. "Tell me about it." He grinned, and I laughed.

"Not that I want you to leave, Em, but I think you should apologize to Vicky. I'll help, if you want." Brandon suggested, and I nodded. "No, I should do it alone. Thank you Brandon. So much. I'll come back after I talk to her?" I said, kissing his cheek. "I'll be here." he smiled back, and waved as I jumped from the front porch.

I was driving to Vic's house with my thoughts screaming. "She didn't trust you!" Or "Why would you go back for her!" I couldn't think straight. I turned on the radio to try to clear my head, hoping for a song I could sing.

I can hold my breath, I can bite my tongue, I can stay awake for days, if that's what you want. Be your number one. I can fake a smile, I can force a laugh, I can dance and play the part of that's what you ask, give you all I am.

But I'm only human, and I bleed when I fall down, I'm only human, and I crash and I break down. Your words in my head, knives in my heart, you build me up and then I fall apart. Cause I'm only human, yeah.

I sighed, and a few more tears rolled down my face. "Im sorry, Vicky." I whispered to myself.

I was half way to Vic's house, somewhat close to my own place, when my phone rang. I answered it and set in on the dash, on speaker phone. "Hello?" "Em, hey." Hope replied. "Hi Hope, what's up?" I asked. "I'm at Victory's." She answered flatly. "Im by my place. On my way there actually." I said. "Good. She wants to talk to you." Hope said. "God, I feel awful. I'm a terrible person." I sighed, blinking back a few tears. "Don't say that. Your a great person." Hope assured, trying to make me feel better. "Thanks, Hope. I-" I cut myself to off. My car was slammed off the road.

I screamed as the car spun into the trees along the side of the street. My windshield shattered, causing shards of glass to cut my skin. I screamed again as something sharp pierced my side. I felt myself losing consciousness, but I tried to keep breathing. Tears streamed down my face, the pain was almost unbearable. "EMMA!" A voice screamed. My phone. Hope never hung up. "My house.... woods." I stuttered, unable to hold on to air for long. "Em, stop talking. Breathe. We're on our way. Vic's calling 9-1-1. Keep breathing, don't give up on me Emma. I'm coming. Love you, hold on." Hope talked, and I tried to focus on her words. "Love..." I tried, but all air vanished from my lungs. My vision was fading. "Help." I breathed out, and my world went black.
