=Mitch's POV=
I didn't drive home. I drove straight to Emma's house, even though it was close to nine. I knocked on her door and her mom sleepily answered, giving me a weird look. "Mitch? You know what time it is, right?" She asked, but letting me inside. "Yes, I'm sorry Mrs. Cath. Also, I was wondering if I could stay the night?" I asked, knowing Emma wouldn't care and that I had extra clothes here already. "Sure, Mitch. Don't be too loud, I'm getting old and need sleep, unlike you teenagers." she joked. "Thank you so much!" I smiled, then turned and ran straight to Emma's room. I burst in without knocking, knowing she did the same thing every night. Put on comfy clothes and sat curled up on her bed with her phone. "Em!" I jumped onto he bed beside her, and she nearly threw her phone. I guess she didn't see me come in. "Jesus, Mitch. What are you doing here?" She asked. "One, staying the night. Two, well, it's story time." I said, moving so I was across from her. "Story time? About what... Oh! Oh! I know!" She cut herself off. "How was he?" She smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Hush, young one. It all began on a nice spring evening...."
I told her everything, from the movie to me "yelling" at him, to him making me walk to my locker with him. She was squealing like a One Direction fangirl. She grabbed my hands and was waving them around. "Mitch! Why aren't you, like, dying right now!" She laughed, still swinging our hands. "On the inside?" I said, more like a question. "You better be." She smirked. "I am." I smirked back, but then her smile faded a little. "Wait, so I should or shouldn't walk with you to school?" She pouted. The two of us had met up and walked to school together almost everyday. "No, I want you to come with us. Maybe Brandon will be there." I wiggled my eyebrows. "Shut up!" she swatted at me, hitting my shoulder. "I could ask..." I said, poking her in the ribs. "No! Don't.Well..." She grinned again, and I laughed. "I'll talk to him. You got my bag?" I asked, standing up. "Should be under the dresser." she pointed. "Thanks." I slipped it out from its hiding spot and went to change in the bathroom. I replaced a hoodie with a teeshirt and skinny jeans with basketball shorts. I went back into Emma's room, and she had picked up my phone and was doing something. "No!" I yelled, diving at her and tackling her onto the bed. "What are you doing?" I demanded, pulling my phone from her hands. "Nothing! I was about to do something, though." She smiled innocently. "I hate you, you know that right?" I asked, clicking my phone off and throwing it towards the bag I'd dropped by the door. "I know you love me, I love you too bro." she laughed, throwing her arms around me. I sat there, trying not to smile and look annoyed as she kept hugging me. "Come on, Mitch, say it...." She said. "Fine, you win. Love you, Emma." She smiled, sat up and clapped her hands. "The sibling bond, the Cath-Hughes family!" She smiled.
She sees them walking in a straight line, that's not really her style. and they all got the same heart beat, but hers is falling behind.
He seems them talking with a big smile, but they haven't got a clue. Yeah, they're living the good life, can't see what he's going through.
And they said, "I wish that I could be like the cool kids, cause all the cool kids they seem to fit in. I wish that I could be like the cool kids, like the cool kids.
