|Jerome's POV|
"Rob, is everything set up?" I whispered into the phone, making sure Mitch couldn't hear me. "Yep! Victory nearly spilled to Preston, and Vikk almost found Lachlan when he was filling the things with water, but other then that everyone and everything is as planned." Rob answered, and I smiled."Who's with you?" I asked, and turned to see Mitch walking my way. "Vic, Lachlan, Em, Meg, and Kenny. Mat's picking up Brandon, Hope, and Vikk." Rob said, and I smiled. "See you soon, man." I said, hanging up the phone as Mitch wrapped his arms around my neck. "Who was on the phone?" He asked. "No one." I grinned, stretching out the word 'one'. "Don't lie to me." Mitch pouted, and I laughed. "Im not lying. I'm hiding something." I said, trying to perk his interest. "What are you hiding?" He asked, eyebrows raised. He's interested. "It's a surprise." I answered, and he completely went limp in my arms. "Tell me." He said as I stood him up on his own two feet. "Nope. Besides, you aren't the only one in the dark." I grinned ad started to pull him towards the door. "Jerome, it's hot... I don't wanna go outside." He complained, but I kept going. "You should take off that hoodie of yours then." I said. "I can't." he said softly. Oh, right. "They haven't faded completely yet." He added, seeing the sad look on my face. "Mitch... they're never gonna fade completely. They just show how strong you are. They others won't say a word, if that's what you're worried about." I said, trying to make him feel better. "It's my own personal thing... I can't even explain it." He replied, putting his head down and looking away. "Mitch, look," I turned him towards me, and lifted his head. "The scars made you who you are, but they shouldn't control you. You are beautiful, even with them." I assured him, and lightly kissed his lips. "As cute as my sweatshirt does look on you," I said with a smirk. From our first week, he still hasn't given me my red and black checkered hoodie back. "You can take it off." He smiled and slowly pulled at the sleeves. "Okay." He pulled it off and tested it over his shoulder. "Now come on... we've got to pick up some people for the surprise." I said with a grin as we walked out the front door.
"Hey Preston!" I smiled as he opened the door to the back seat of my car. "Alright. Where's Rob, what are you guys planning?" Preston asked, not even bothering to greet me back. "Rob's in on it too?" Mitch asked. "Mitch isn't?" Preston said with a confused glance between the two of us. "Nope. No Mitch. Yes Rob. I can't wait to see what Jason has to say." I said with a grin. "We're getting Jason?" "Does Jason know?" Preston and Mitch asked at the same time. "Yes, Jason's coming with us. No, he has no idea." I said with a smirk as we started towards Jason's house.
Woke up on the right side of the bed. What's up with this Prince song inside my head? Hands up if you're down to get down tonight, cause it's always a good time.
"Jason we are going to get killed! Run while you can!" Preston yelled as Jason slid into the seat next to him. "Oh?" Jason said, casting an amused look at Preston. "Vic told me I was in for a surprise. I didn't think it was that big of a surprise." Jason said. "Well, we're either getting killed or it's a goodbye party because they're shipping us to the moon." Mitch added. "I've always wanted to go to the moon!" Jason cheered. "Well then, that's it. We're getting killed." Preston threw his hands up and fell back against the seat. "Yep. We're killing you. You figured it out." I grinned, and Mitch gasped. "I thought you loved me." He said, putting a hand to his heart in mock-pain. "Oh, I do. But your time has come. All three of you." I said with a fake evil glare in all of their directions. "Jerome! Why! I'm your best friend!" Preston shouted. "I'm your boyfriend!" Mitch added. "I'm... Uh... Im your new friend!" Jason said with a small laugh. The rest of us laughed with him.
Slept in all my clothes like I didn't care, hopped in to a cab, take me anywhere. I'm in if you're down to get down tonight, cause it's always a good time.
I pulled into the driveway of Mat's house, and Preston gave me a confused look. "You're killing us at Mat's?" He asked, and I nodded. "Why is Rob's car here? And Vic's?" Mitch asked. "Because they're helping me. C'mon." I answered with a grin as I stepped out of my car. The others followed me, and Preston started towards Mat's door. "Preston?" I asked with a smirk. "Yes?" "Where are you going?" "To my death?" He answered, turning around. "'Death' is this way." I pointed over my shoulder. He walked back to me and stood beside Mitch. I started walking down the road, and the others cautiously walked behind me. We came to the end of the street, where the woods met the road. "Ready?" I asked, and stepped into the woods. The three looked nervously between each other before following me in. I started leading them down a path, and soon I could see the clearing that we'd set up for the day. "Ready boys?" I said, stopping and letting them walk past me. "Oh my god they're killing us in the clearing so they can bury us." Preston said. "Yep. So after you." I gestured for them to keep walking, and they did. When they stepped into the clearing, I smiled as their jaws dropped.
Good morning and good night, I wake up at twilight, it's gonna be alright, we don't even have to try, it's always a good time.
"What the...?" Jason took another step forward and looked around. "How did you...?" Mitch glanced back at me, and I shrugged with a smile. "What is this?" Preston asked. "Just you wait." I said. The three looked around, but didn't move. It was like their feet were glued to the ground. I watched them glance from the tables of food, to the lights strung up in the trees, to the boxes of items they couldn't see. "What's in the boxes?" Preston asked, pointing. "Don't you worry about it." I answered, to which he sighed and shook his head and then went back to looking around.
Freaked out, dropped my phone in the pool again. Checked out of my room, hit the ATM, lets hang out if you're down to get down tonight, cause it's always a good time.
Soon, I heard voices behind me. "Mat, seriously. Where are we going?" It was Brandon. "You'll see." Mat answered. "Mate, I'm starting to think we're going to get murdered." Vikk said, accent clear. "Look, the others beat us!" Mat said as he came to the end of the path. "Others?" Hope asked as she walked past Mat. "Oh." She answered her own question as she saw the rest of us. "How many of us are you gonna kill?" Preston asked. "I called it, I knew we were dying!" Vikk said as he jumped into the clearing. "I'm to young to die." Brandon commented from behind Mat. "Jerome, you told them we were killing them?" Mat asked with a laugh. "Not directly, but when Preston came to that conclusion, I didn't deny." I replied with a smirk. "Oh. Well where are the others?" He asked, looking around. "Uh..." Suddenly, Vic came running towards us, a huge smile on her face. "Hey doods!" She cheered as she threw herself into Jason's arms. "Hi-a Vicky, what's all this?" He asked, looking around again. "Hey babe." Rob snuck out from the trees and wrapped his arms around Preston, who jumped at the touch. "Okay... Maybe I'm not dying?" Preston smiled. Then Kenny, Lachlan, Em and Meg walked over, Kenny and Lachlan greeting their partners. "So... Whatcha all been planning here?" Hope asked, looking around at our set up. "Well..." Kenny smiled, glancing between the rest of us. "Let's go!" Lachlan started pulling Vic farther into the clearing, and stretching out the last word. The others started following after them, and I stood back and watched. "What did you do, biggums?" Mitch asked, noticing me still standing behind him. I smiled. "We're gonna have a Pack day-party."
