^Emma's POV^
A/N: That's new!!! ^.^
I met Mitch by his locker, where I slapped my hands on his shoulders, making him jump. He turned to face me, terror in his face at first, but then it turned to a playful glare. "Jesus, Em. Why?" I grinned. "Why not?" "Because you scared the living hell out of me, that's why!" He complained. I just laughed. "That's what you get for making me wait. I'm starving, and fresh air sounds great right now." I said, dragging him away from his locker. He got out of my grasp and went to pick up his stuff and shut his locker, and then her turned to me. "About that... We aren't eating outside today, Em." He said, and confusion took over. "What? Why not?" I asked. "We've been invited to a table." he answered like this was no big deal. We sat outside every day since sophomore year, even through the cold winters. "What? Who? Why?" I asked as he stared pulling me towards the lunch room. "We're sitting with Jerome." He said casually. "No. Way!" I cheered. "Yeah, he invited me after you and Brandon left." He said, winking as he said Brandon's name. "Wait, he invited you? I shouldn't be coming then!" I said, stopping and backing away. "No, Em, c'mon!" He grabbed my wrist and brought me forward again. "No, Mitch, he invited you, I don't want-" "Emma, either we are both going to that table or neither of us are." He said, still not letting my wrist go, and giving me a stern look. I wanted Mitch to be with Jerome, I knew how much he liked him. I didn't want to intrude on them. "Fine, fine." I stopped struggling and let him pull me into the cafeteria.
As soon as we stepped through the doors, I stood up straight and walked next to him, despite my nerves. Would it really be me, Mitch, Jerome, and six other boys? Me being the only girl? Mitch and I walked to the center of the room, and looked around. We hadn't been in here in ages, and had no idea where Jerome and his friends sat. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Emma!" I turned around to face Brandon, smiling wide. "H-Hey, Brandon." I tugged Mitch's arm, and he turned and faced Brandon too. "Jerome thought you'd be lost. This way." Brandon smiled, grabbing my arm lightly and pulling me towards a table. I reached back and grabbed the sleeve of Mitch's hoodie, making him follow as well.
Brandon finally stopped in front of a table, where we were greeted with a chorus of hellos. "Glad you made it, Mitch. You too, Emma." Jerome smiled at us, and I gave a small smile back. Brandon took a seat next to a curly haired boy, who grinned at him as he fell into his seat. "Okay, introductions." Jerome said, and started assigning names to the seven people we didn't know. Preston was the bright-eyed brunette with a southern accent. Rob, the tall, dark haired boy. Emily, the blonde with think glasses. Vikk, the short, dark haired, dark skinned boy. The girl next to him was Victory, with icy blue hair and a kind smile. Then on the other side of the table, Mat was the curly haired boy who Brandon sat next too. And of course Lachlan, the tall, blonde Aussie. "Thats the Pack." Jerome finished. "Welcome to it." Jerome said, sliding into Brandon to make room between himself and Lachlan for the two of us. Rob gave Jerome a questioning look, and Vikk wore the same one. "Sit, doods." Jerome gestured to the open spot. Mitch slid in first, but I still stood, hesitant. I looked at Brandon, then Jerome, then Mitch. "Em?" Mitch asked. "I... I'm going to go sit outside." I turned and headed for the door. I looked back quick, knowing what was about to happen. "Mitch, you stay. Please." I begged, and before he could fully stand, he was sitting back down. "Thank you." I started out of the room and to the main doors.
I found our usual spot under a row of trees along the campus perimeter. I settled down beneath one and closed my eyes. I knew Mitch would be upset with me later, but he'd get over it. Brandon would probably think I was some shy, insecure, panicky girl; He'd never end up with me. I sighed, and slumped down against the tree. "Hey." A voice said, making me open my eyes. "Are you okay?" It was Victory and Emily. They followed me. "I-I'm fine." I said, giving them a confused look. "The seven of them are intimidating, huh?" Emily sat down beside me. "God, you weren't even the first girl." Victory said, taking my other side. "I... It's not that I'm scared." I said quietly, sitting up a little. "I just... I don't know. But I'm not afraid." I said, attempting to regain some confidence. "It's alright, I was terrified. My boyfriends six best friends, I kinda needed them to like me. Thank God they are who they are, wouldn't judge us." Victory said. "Yeah, true. Thank God you were there, Vic, I wouldn't have made it through!" Emily laughed, and I smiled a little. "So Emma, about tomorrow." Victory said, suddenly getting serious. "You will sit with the Pack, and us, and Mitch, I'm not sure if the four of us are official in that yet. You'll meet all the guys and make sure you talk to Brandon a lot." Emily said, picking up here she left off. "Huh? Why Brandon?" I asked, trying not to show that had any interest. "Oh, he's liked you for ages." Emily casually said, while Victory smirked. "How do you know that?" I asked. "He's my twin brother. Tells me everything, and I do the same." Emily answered. "Twins?" I repeated. "Twins." Emily said again. "Wow." I fell back against the tree. "So, this is where you normally eat lunch?" Victory asked, changing the topic. "Almost every day for the past three years." I nodded. "You and Mitch, alone?" Emily inquired. "Yep. You know how you said you tell Brandon everything and vice versa? Well that's me and Mitch. He's basically my brother." I said. "I wish I had a brother. Blood-related or not." Emily put rested her chin in one hand and pouted, making both Victory and me laugh. I could get used to these girls.
And we play our favorite songs, and we scream out all night long, when it's just me and my girls
We get crazy with it, we get stupid with it, we don't care if people stare when we wobble with it
Just me and my girls
