|Jeromes POV|

"I risked it too." He whispered as he slipped his hand in mine. I couldn't believe it. After years of watching him from afar, years of hiding the secret, years of falling harder and harder for him, every moment melted together to make this one even more perfect.

He was staring at our interlocked hands, and he his cheeks turned bright pink. "You really are cute when you blush, Mitch." I grinned, and the pink darkened. "I didn't know..." Mitch started, and I knew what he wanted to finish with. He didn't know "the secret," as Brandon, Lachlan and Preston called it. "And if you did?" I asked. "We'd have been in this position three years ago." He answered, moving his eyes from our hands to me. "Really?" I asked, a little surprised. "Yeah, I mean, I've like you for a while so..." he said, a little quieter then before. Then his eyes widened. "Em..." He whispered. "You know, you really aren't good at finishing sentences." I teased, and he just grinned. "Ha." He said, but then buried his face in his hands. "What's wrong?" I asked, moving closer to him. He sighed. "Do they know? Any of them?" He asked. I knew exactly what he meant. "Three of them. They'd flip if they heard about this." I smiled, imagining each guys reaction. Preston would be in shock, Lachlan would congratulate me and Brandon would pry for the exact moment in full detail. "God, how am I gonna hide this?" He sighed yet again. "You don't have too." I shrugged. "But they don't know, and that'll ruin everything for you, and I'll get beaten up more, and what if you did? Oh, God, that would be terrible. And-" I quickly pressed our lips together again, and when I pulled back he was silent. "Thank you." I smirked. He opened his mouth again, but thought better of it. "Mitch, I'll tell them this weekend. You can tell Emma -I'm assuming that's who you want to tell, anyway- And then I'll tell the boys. Everything will be alright." I promised. "Really?" He asked. "As long as Emma doesn't tell Victory and Emily, I think we should be good." I answered, remembering how good of friends the three had already become. "I'm sorry if you get ten thousand texts from Em within the next twenty four hours." he smiled. I smiled back. "Eh, that's my own fault."

Mitch left after another couple minutes, and I probably looked like I was on something as I practically danced through the living room and up the stairs to my room. "You look happy, Jerome. You beat your friend that badly?" My mom asked as I went by. "Yeah, it was pretty bad." I laughed. I made my way to my room and flopped down onto my bed. I felt like a lovesick teenage girl. My smile wouldn't go away no matter how hard I tried. I picked up my phone and slipped earbuds in, turning on the phone-radio.

'Cause it's you, and me and all of the people, with nothing to do, and nothing to lose. And its you, and me, and all of the people, and I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you.

All of the things, that I want to say, just aren't coming out right. I'm tripping on words, you got my head spinning, I don't know where to go from here.

Something about you now, I can't quite figure out. Everything he does is beautiful, everything he does is right.

I played with my phone in my hands for a minute or two, before I decided to text Preston, again with the hope he could help me.
J- Hey dood
P- Hey! How'd it go? Are we getting anywhere? Please say we are.
J- One sec

I couldn't tell him over text. "Mom?" I called, loud enough so she'd hear me from the living room. "Yeah sweetie?" She yelled back. "Can Preston come sleep over?" I asked, hoping she'd agree. "Sure, honey! Just don't stay up all night!" She answered. Perfect. I went back to my phone.
J- How fast can you get here?
P- I'm throwing some clothes in a bag now, I'll be over in ten.
J- You know me so well
P- Whether your mom said yes or not, I was going to end up at your house
J- figured as much

I put my phone down and stared at my ceiling, rubbing my hands on my face to try to get my idiotic grin to leave. If didn't work, and I still had it when Preston barged though my door, but not alone. Lachlan stood behind him. "Spill it." Preston said, dropping his bag and sitting in my bed. "Hello, Preston. Nice to see you too." I said, rolling my eyes. "Yeah yeah, hi and stuff. Now I'm waiting." he said. "Also, you could've informed me that Aussie was joining you." I said, looking at Lachlan. "Am I not welcome?" He asked, pulling my desk chair closer to my bed. "You're plenty welcome, but it woulda been nice to know." I answered. "Okay! Enough talk! On with it, Mitchell!" Preston clapped his hands together. I looked at him, eyebrows raised, and then to Lachlan. "No screaming. No telling anybody. Keep. Your. Mouths. Shut. Got it?" I asked. They nodded in sync. I dove right in to my story.
