I unpack more of my stuff, but stop when I find some old as shit in an old shoe boxed I snatched outa my closet before leaving.
My mala.
I stare at it, thinkin bout my grandma real heavy. Thoughts about her eventually lead my mind to Sea. I hop it in my hands while runnin my fingers over the wood beads.
My daadee would slap the hell outa my neck if she knew I don't meditate like I should be. I just do enough to maintain what I need to for Grandmaster. That's all.
"Yeah... we see how that went..." I keep it real.
My phone starts ringing, specifically a FaceTime. I set my mala on the desk and snatch my phone up quick as hell.
"Hey mamas," I cheese when I see that she's healthy and not upset.
"Reshy Pooh," her beauty and her words make me move away from the camera while smiling way too hard.
"Come back," she giggles.
I move my duffle and my suit case off my bed.
"Please?" She says so sweetly.
I pick my phone up and go to the bathroom.
"I'm back. I'm just in love, ya know?" I prop my phone up and start brushing my teeth.
"Woo... lawd he tryna seduce me," her words confuse me for a sec until I realize ion have no shirt or pants on, just boxers.
I suck my teeth and bust out into laughing.
"No... I'm just finna sleep," I let her know.
We both laugh, but soon go silent. It starts out comfortable...
We can be around each other or even on FaceTime silent as hell.
... but what was once comfortable silence turns uncomfortable fast. I look down at my phone then back at the sink to spit.
