"Koi" Greyson ♐️

Marshal

I pull the door back. Before I can step in I pause.

I feel him... but he's nowhere in sight.

Koi? I thought you left earlier. He's around?"

"As the honorable Resh says, grand risings," Grandmaster says happily.

I smile, but stop.

Resh... I hope he's doing okay. I wonder if I'm allowed to message him. I don't want to cross any boundaries or break any rules...

"Grand risings," I bow, but pop up fast when I feel Koi's energy again.

Does Grandmaster Awkanatwe feel Koi too? How couldn't he? Am I trippin? Do I just miss him?

Wouldn't Grandmaster say something or do something?

I turn around and look behind me. My eyes roam across trees and along the edge of where part of the koi pond stretches.

"Marshal," Grandmaster's voice tugs on me.

"Yes," I snap myself out of it and go inside.

I slide the door closed behind me.

"Are you ready?" He asks.

I stare at the staff in his hand, thankful that it's a bo again like last time instead of his usual one.

His usual staff is resting against the wall.

I walk over to my bo and pick it up.

"Yes... I'm ready. I feel better. Koi helped me a lot. I was in my head too much in a bad way. I'm grateful," I tell him.

"Hm, I appreciate your honesty. You just admitted that you didn't feel your best. That's genuine. Although you need to maintain stability by yourself, I felt like last night's visit between you and Koi was necessary," he says.
