Sea
I'm scared to ask for my phone back.
Our silence continues while he takes care of me. I jump when he starts cleaning up my eyebrow, but take the pain so I won't seem weaker than I already am compared to him.
The smell of him makes me sigh from comfort alone. I close my eyes while he finishes.
"Open your mouth," he says.
I part my lips. He puts his thumb on my chin to pull my lip down.
"I'll bring you some sherbet from the kitchen," he says.
I open my eyes, then look into his.

She closes her eyes and sighs again before sitting up. The bruises on her back are purple.
I had no idea there were so many.
I gather her hair up and move it around one of her shoulders.
"It's okay," she says, but I ignore her.
I press into her bruises some to make sure she doesn't need to go to the infirmary. Some are puffy and soft and some are firm. She trembles but doesn't groan or moan from the pain I know she's feeling.
"I hope you had a great day," she says.
It makes me smile.
"Ummm. I did actually. Thanks," I break a cold pack, wrap it in a towel, then start lightly rubbing her skin.
"Mmhm," she nods while holding onto her knees.
"Koi told me you impressed him," I let her know.
Your wounds are completely different from my dream, but hopefully this is what the dream meant.
