"Your love is a one in a million. It's goes on and on and on!" I sing terribly to myself.
"Marsh!" My momma calls.
"You give me a really good feeling!" I hang my head out my door.
Im feeling good that she's feeling good. I paid some bills for her so I'm very happy.
"All day long! Your love-"
"Marshal, you gotta visitor," she laughs at me.
My face goes straight.
"What?" Comes outa my mouth.
"You embarrassing yourself," she giggles.
"Mommy what is you talkin bout; I ain gots no friends," I rush down the hall towards her in the kitchen.
When I turn the corner our brown eyes lock. Fear shakes my soul.

"Hey Marshal," he lifts his chin and waves.
I look at my mom then back at him.
His smile is warm. He's even handsome, but-
"Marsh?" My mom calls me when I get stuck.
I break myself out of it.
"Wassup man? Long time no see," I fake smile.
We dap up.
"Can we talk outside?" I ask.
Yes I want privacy, but I don't want him anywhere near my momma.
"Of course. Thank you for letting me in ma'am," he smiles and stands.
