Grandmaster Akanatwe

"Ooo," I sigh when I find my box of brushes.

I roll out my paper, grab a brush, dip it in ink, then lift the sleeve of my kimono. The tip of the brush almost touches the paper before I pull back.

"Hm?" I look at the door.

This is shocking... I was just about to-

The doors slides open then closes. Koi stands before me furiously.

"You're in my study?" I ask.

He's no stranger to this place, but he knows not to bring anger here.

His breaths are chaotic while he gazes. He takes deeper and deeper breaths, trying to push the anger off him. I pick up an incense stick, then light it from the pillar candle sitting beside me.

"Come," I wave him to me.

He sits before my desk on a cushion in lotus form. I move the incense over him until his breathing is slower.

"I'm sorry... I didn't consider your feng shui," he says, still tense.

"What's going on?" I ask, forgiving him immediately.

"Chia and Kam... they pickin on Marshal, Sir..."

"Mm?" I sip my hot tea.

"They're bullying him Grandmaster... not like the Sea thing, but they're pressin him. Marsh almost faught Chia. Chia's been provoking him-"

"Ahhh," I nod.

"Yes, rules are rules. I don't want Marshal getting in trouble," he lowers his head to respect me, then looks me in my eyes again.

"Well, Marshal does need to control his temper," I state.

My words make him shake his head some, surprised by my response.

"Excuse me?" He asks.

Yes, excuse you.

"Am I incorrect?" I speak in my native tongue after I ask him the question.

I run my hands over my beard, then swipe it to the side. He clinches his jaw while his eyes float off me. Frustration rests in his expression.

"Do you not agree?" I ask.

He makes himself look at me. His eyes are weaker now, but still, he speaks with strength and power.

"I do, but the strain on our relationship is there. I'm in love with Marshal. Things were going well; even if we got upset with each other, it's been great. Now this? Chia and them think me and Marshal gots something going on," he says, seemingly weakening more by the end of his sentence.
