Peter and Satine step out of the small convenience store that they trail to every so often, hand-in-hand as they head towards his car. They speak to each other with smiles on their faces before those are quick to fade when a man with a camera for a head makes a sudden appearance, coming from around a nearby car, calling out to them.

"Excuse me, Mr and Mrs. Parker?" He stumbles up in front of them, like he's in a hurry, and the pair slows to a stop as Peter's hold on her hand grows fuller and tighter, dragging her closer into his side. "Can I ask you guys a question?"

"Sure." Satine agrees with a confused smile and furrowed brows, as she gives Peter a quick side glance of curiosity.

"What is your relationship with the Avengers?" He asks with a smirk and their brows raise. "Why are you two always with them? What's that about?"

"Three questions." Satine mumbles quietly in her native tongue.

"I'm Mr. Starks personal assistant." Peter nods with a tight-lipped grin, trying to hold down from chuckling at her mockery.

The man nods back, proud to know that he's getting the answers no one else was able to or were too cowardly to seek out themselves.

"I'm the wife." She motions between the two.

"So do you do work for any of them or anything like that?" He shakes his head.

"I mean, I help out where I can." She shrugs while looking up at Peter. "I clean, mostly." She nods sideways before putting her hand up. "I am not a maid. I'm a helpful friend. Don't twist that."

"Wouldn't dream of it." He nods with a grin and she tilts her head a bit. "As the personal assistant, what is it that you do in your line of work?" He quickly points the camera further towards Peter.

"Well..." He takes a deep breath with a slow nod. "As said assistant, I have places to be." He nods with a grin and Satine slowly smiles. "I can't be late. Excuse us."

He puts his hand forward that has Satine's held tightly between its fingers and she steps forward first with him following close behind. Never had Peter been a huge fan of cameras, but once the man behind it decides to slide a sly comment to his wife, that's when he decides to cut this communication off. There's nothing more that needs to be said.

Satine is all smiles as Peter looks back at the man that is hurriedly checking the footage. He shakes his head as he turns forward, sighing in frustration until he sees her face and breathes a chuckle.

"What're you smiling at?" He releases her hand to lay his arm over her shoulder.

"My strong man defending me." She grits softly while grazing her hand up his front and he slowly smirks a smile.

"You don't even need it." He shakes his head with a low voice.

"Oh, he has an attitude too." She sings with a lip-biting smile. "I like that even more."

"Oh, my God." He rolls his eyes as he lets her go. "Get in the car."

"You'll be mine later." She states as she opens the passenger door and he makes his way around the car.

"Yell it louder for the people in the back." He chuckles and she giggles as they sit down.

Back at the compound, Peter heads to their bedroom as Satine ventures off to retreive Anastasia from the common room. She picks her up onto her hip and leaves the room with a little wave to the ladies that had been watching over the little one.

The two use the elevator to go down one floor before they're heading down the hall. As they walk, they spot Sam and Bucky ahead.

"I'm not marrying you." Bucky shakes his head and she slows down with raised brows.

"Why not?" Sam shrugs.

"I need an easy way out." He nods while waving his hand a bit with a scrunched up nose. "An escape if you get weird."

"Oh, yeah?" He nods upwards and he nods back with a slowly growing grin. "Yeah? Find an easy way out of this." He instructs quickly and goes to gently punch his side, but he grabs his fist before it can get to him.

"Mm-hm." He shakes his head with a lip-biting smile and Sam looks down at it with a smile of his own, inching closer to him.

Satine clears her throat with a grin as she comes nearer and they turn.

"Do you think we should get married?" Bucky asks.

"You know I would love to be a best man." She states and they smile slightly. "I'll be a witness, if you decide to elope. I'll even get myself ordained and do it for you." She mumbles as she walks past while playing with Anya's hair as she looks back at the pair.

"I think that's a yes." Sam nods as they turn a corner to be gone from their sight.

"Get married!" Anastasia yells and Satine laughs after telling her to do that, making the pair slowly smile.

"That kid's gonna be a piece of work, being raised by those two." Sam crosses his arms while shaking his head before he turns to him to see the thought on his furrowed brows. "What's wrong?" He steps a bit closer.

"Do you really want to marry me?" He asks and he hesitates for a moment.

"I do."

"Don't...say that." He slowly places his hand on his cheek and his heart drops. "Save that for wedding day." He leans in closer and he slowly smiles before shaking his head.

"You..." He breathes before they're pulling each other into a rough and loving kiss.

After Satine hurried to the bedroom, she places Anastasia on her feet and opens the door. The girl runs fast past her mom to get to her dad with her arms out wide. He smiles and lifts her up into his lap for a tight hug on the couch. Satine smiles at the pair as she closes the door behind her and pulls her phone out as it vibrates in her back pocket.

"Hey, Lexi." She greets happily, surprised to be hearing from her so suddenly. "What's up?"

"Uh, well," She takes a deep breath and her brows furrow. "Anna and I broke up." She shrugs as she rolls to her stomach in bed.

Satine's eyes go wide as she sits at the end of her bed with her hand over her mouth as Peter's head pops up.

"Why?" She sings worriedly. "What happened?"

"We just started to pull apart." She sighs. "The last few months have been kinda weird. I mean, it's alright, I'm okay, but it still sucks."

"Lexi, you don't have to lie to me." She shakes her head with a soft voice as Peter silently opens Anastasia's little box of goldfish while listening very closely. "You can talk to me."

"I know." She grins. "But I really am okay. I knew it wouldn't last, but I tried my best."

"Okay." She sighs. "Well, I'm here to listen whenever you need it." She nods and her brows wrinkle.

"You're so nice." She pouts with tears in her eyes. "Why couldn't you be my girlfriend? Tell Peter to back the fuck off, I want you." She cries a bit and she chuckles softly as he smiles.

"Lisa already tried." She shakes her head and she takes a deep breath. "Oh, well, actually, Lisa is really good at making people feel better. She'll do whatever you want. You should go see her, she won't mind."

"Does she still work at that bar?" She wipes her face off and she replies in confirmation. "A bar doesn't seem like a bad idea."

"Whatever works." She smiles a bit. "Do you want to talk later?"

"Mhmm." She hums.

They say their goodbyes and Lexi hangs up before Satine places her phone down with a sigh.

"That's gonna end real well for Lisa." Peter mumbles as he hands Anastasia a fish and Satine furrows her brows in confusion before her eyes go wide.
