One week later

-

"Are you sure you're ready?" Nat cautions with wrinkled brows.

"Honestly..." Satine shakes her head while taking a deep breath, hugging her new stuffed bear to her chest as Peter takes her hand. "I just wanna go home."

"I know, but are you actually ready? Are you healthy enough to leave?"

"I have been away from home for five weeks." She turns to hang her legs off of the bed. "Two of those weeks, I was held captive, two more, I was dying --" She nods and Peter looks up at her as he kneels down in front of her to put her slippers on her feet. "And one more week I spent in recovery, so I don't care how wobbly I am, or if I'm not sure I'm ready, because I am and Dr. Boone feels the same." She motions to him from where he stands at the end of the bed with his hands pulled together in front of him. "Right?"

"She's right, Miss Romanoff." He nods kindly and she lays her forehead in her palm, drawing Steve closer. "She's stable and she's in a much better condition now than she was when she got here."

"They've gotta let her go at some point." Steve rubs up and down her arms from behind.

"Better now, than later." Satine pushes off the bed as Peter helps her to her feet before she looks at her. "I can't do it anymore." She softens her voice as she lays her head back against Steve's chest and crosses her arms. "I just want to go home." She shrugs. "I want my bed, and my kitchen, and my bathroom --" She nods with wide eyes.

"And everything else." Peter smiles slight and she grins a bit.

"And my daughter." She nods once more. "I'm ready."

Satine says her goodbyes to the team that kept her alive so that her family her save her life and she even steals a hug from Dr. Boone and Riley too, the pair that helped her the most throughout her visit. This is before they enter the elevator and Nat grabs her own hug on the ride, holding tight the whole way down as she thanks her for surviving and tells her how proud she is that she made it through, and made it back.

When she and Peter reach his car, she leans against it as he opens the passenger door for her. He takes her bear and sets it on the center console before he puts out his hand for her. She does just that, not to help herself lower down to the seat, but instead to pull him into her.

Tony steps into his car and shuts the door behind him before he spots it through the side mirror as she cups Peter's cheek and he looks at her before she lays her arm over his shoulders to hold him close. He rests his hand on the car as he hugs her back and buries his strained face in her shoulder. Tony lays his head back with a sigh, incapable of being more thankful for her second chance at life.

"You'll sleep good tonight, right?" Satine sniffles while adjusting her footing and he pulls her tighter into him and nods. "Okay." She grins.

She slowly releases her hold on him to cup his face. She kisses him softly and grazes her thumbs along his cheekbones as he takes her wrists into his hands.

"Can I drive?" She brushes her fingers through his hair and he scoffs a small chuckle.

"You are not driving." He shakes his head and she laughs brightly. "Hell no."

"Why not?" She shrugs while inching closer.

"You're on drugs, Love." He states softly and she grins a bit. "We will crash, if you get behind that wheel. And, you may miss your car, but you don't even like driving." He shakes his head while helping her into the passenger seat.
