While Satine lays Anya in her bed, Anya stares closely at her as she leans over her to pull the blankets up her body. She remains silent in her thoughts as she tucks her tightly under the covers. Anya places her hand on her cheek, causing her to freeze above her.
"It's okay." She nods and her brows twitch for a moment as she sets her hand on hers. "Don't be scared."
"What're you talking about?" She nearly whispers as Peter's brows furrow from where he sits on the couch in the living room.
"Don't be scared." She whispers while nodding and she slowly pulls her hand away before standing up straight.
"I'm fine. Lay down." She instructs softly and she does as told as she heads to the door. "Goodnight, Anya."
She leaves the room and crosses her arms as she makes her way to the couch to curl up beside Peter. He pulls her legs over his lap to have her closer as he lays his arm on the back of the couch behind her.
"What was that about?" He asks and she shrugs shakily.
"I don't know. I-I mean, I was thinking and I was getting a little worked up --"
"About what?" He nods upwards with a soft voice, speaking slower than her, which causes her stare for a moment. "What's wrong?"
"Dreykov." She sighs and he tilts his head with wrinkled brows. "I don't know why. He's gone." She shrugs. "He's dead and I still think about him almost everyday."
"Why wouldn't you tell me that?" He softly places his hand on the back of her head.
"I don't want you to worry." She nearly whispers with a weak voice.
"Baby, I'm always gonna worry about you." He shakes his head, speaking even softer than before. "Yes, you're strong and you're independent and you're healthy, but you're still human. Every human has weaknesses and I think, when it comes to yours, it's the Red Room." He states and she nods a bit. "Tell me what you were thinking about." He slides his hand to her back.
"What would happen if I was ever dragged back in?" She asks herself and he sighs while asjusting uncomfortably. "That's what I was thinking about and I could feel the fear rising. It terrifies me to think about that, but I can't control my thoughts, especially when I think about that. I could feel the fear and agony in my chest." She puts her claw to her chest with tears in her eyes. "I do every time because I get so much worse there."
"That's why you'll never go back." He inches closer, stating firmly and sure. "You will never go back and I will forever make sure that you are safe and away from them. And, even if we did run into them, you will be safe and you will come home in the end, you will be okay, because I won't let anybody hurt you or ruin your mind ever again." He shakes his head while sitting up to place his hands on her cheeks, faces close. "I promise I won't let that happen."
As a tear slipped down her cheek, she listened closely to his words, eyes never leaving his, until he leaned in quick. Desperately, he kisses her lips as if it'd be the last time he ever did, taking in every moment and every inch before he backs up just a bit.
"You're not going anywhere." He whispers while they keep their eyes closed and her brows furrow. "None of us are."
She nods with a deep breath and pushes her arms around his neck as she moves over him to straddle his waist and hug him tightly in her arms.
"How did Anya know?" He asks as he pushes his hands under her shirt to rub her back and sides.
"I don't know." She mumbles into his neck and her arm.
"I mean, how could she have known you were feeling like this? It makes no sense. Were you about to cry or something?" He shrugs. "Were you shaking?"
"No." She shakes her head as she sits up. "No, I don't know how she knew."
"Okay." He nods while pushing her hair out of her face and she keeps gripping his shirt. "Well, we can figure this out tomorrow. How do you feel about an early bedtime?"
She nods in agreement and pushes herself to her feet. She heads to their bedroom and he turns off all lights and the television before following along.

The next day, Anya is seated on the living room floor with a few of her toys, distracting herself with her imagination. Satine and Peter sit on the couch, trying to get themselves to experiement with her knowledge. You never know what kind of mental problems could come with knowing something so clearly. Autism, for one, could help one to know, but at the same time, many people that have this disorder struggle with emotions and feelings, they aren't clear enough for them to understand, so the two aren't really certain with that. What they are certain about is that they are most likely just overthinking it, but that's really just being cautious.
"Hey, Anya." Satine calls and she hums while crawling on her knees to get to her dollhouse. "Do you know what I'm thinking?"
"No." She simply shakes her head.
"Okay." Satine nods, thankful for that, same as Peter. "Well, do you know what I'm feeling?"
"Nervous." She mumbles while turning to her and her brows slowly raise as she adjusts the camera in her hand that takes a video of this encounter. "Daddy's confused."
"How do you know that?" Peter shakes his head with a soft voice.
"I can hear it." She shrugs while placing her doll on it's couch.
"You can hear it?" Satine gets up to sit on the floor beside her, holding the camera to where Anya won't see it. "Like, you can hear it in our voices?"
"No."
"What do you mean?" Peter comes to the other end of the couch to be near them.
"I know it." She turns to them. "I can feel it."

After sending the video to the Avengers groupchat, Satine and Peter wait for a while before any of the "busy bods" reply. They're all truly just as confused as the parents. Anya's words really make no sense to anyone. But Wanda seems to have an idea, seeing as she was quick to give them a call.
"Have you ever thought about the idea that maybe Anastasia doesn't just have one ability?" She asks and the two slowly look at each other from where they stand in the kitchen.
"Not really." Satine states.
"I don't see why she couldn't." She shrugs and Peter sighs while crossing his arms. "She was born in Hydra of all places, we don't know who birthed her, we don't know anything. She could be extremely powerful and we just don't know it yet."
"What power could this be?" Peter shrugs. "Mind reading?"
"No, she said she doesn't know what we're thinking." Satine points and he nods in remeberance.
"No, instead she knows what you're feeling. She knows your emotions, even when you don't show it or she doesn't see it. She's an empath." She states and their brows furrow.
"What is an empath?" She shakes her head.
"An empath is a type of psychic. They see into another persons heart and mind, they know someones emotions and their feelings. They're very aware. And, it's nothing bad, truly." She states softly and they sigh, unsure, though they still believe her. "This can be a very good thing. She might be able to see dangers where others can't. Trusting someone can be easy for an empath, but once they get a good look, they may never want to see that person again, because they know that in someway, that person is a threat. They may not want to hurt the empath or someone they love, but they aren't a good person and you always want your children to be safe and aware with those kinds of things."
"Always." Peter nods in agreement.
"Exactly." She breathes softly. "Anya is in no way in trouble from this. Her powers are good. Think of a mini Mother Nature." She shrugs and they look at each other with small grins. "She loves nature, she's deeper intuned with the world around her. She's safe and she's smart and you have nothing to fear. It's okay."
