"So it begins..."
From a faraway vantage point, Takt who was observing the beginning of the battle between Tempest and Ingracia stated.
"Indeed so, just as he said it would." With a sigh, Daria who was right next to him stated.
After his little bias fueled trip to Felken, Rimuru returned to the Justiciar's base of operations. And he hadn't moved since, till today.
"Wait for the war to begin." He had said, much to the shock and confusion of the two he was addressing.
He had also brought an undeniable sign of success from his original mission to Farmenas, a sage named Damaris.
She had sparred with both Takt and Daria over the little time between her arrival and the release of pure chaos, and she lost every single time.
It was not a matter of difference in power, in fact they were more or less equal.
Therein lay the problem.
As proven by Rimuru Tempest in his most active days, power or skill quality trumped experience. But in a situation of equal power, the side with better skill would prevail.
Rimuru took notice of her repeated losses and took it upon himself to give her little bits of training at irregular intervals.
Damaris was a good student, not what one would call a prodigy or a genius but she absorbed teachings pretty well, she had incremental improvements as time went by.
"Yeah he totally saw this coming, maybe even instigated it. Question is, where is he now?" Takt said, his slight annoyance showing through his tone.
He was annoyed for good reasons though, Rimuru had simply vanished, along with Guy and Damaris.
The only information he gave was, 'doing some follow up on the troublemakers' work'. Whatever that was supposed to mean.
"That's a question neither of us can answer, same as why Felken suddenly became docile. This war is the perfect opportunity to make our moves against the worlds' powers, but for some reason Lord Rimuru insists on waiting." Damaris expressed her grievances in a tone that sounded like a weather report.
"Felken huh..I bet he had a hand in that too." Takt couldn't help but consider the possibility.
Daria was about to retort, she wanted to call it a ridiculous answer. The image of a smiling Rimuru preaching his doctrine of chaos and some dubious free will surfaced in her head, killing any shred of normal thinking left in her.
"You might be right about that.." She mused aloud, her mind already going through ridiculous scenarios.
"Well," Takt turned away from the direction of the battle, and began to walk away.
"We'll just observe like he said for now. I have the feeling Tempest won't be the only ones having a war."
Daria continued observing the neat battle formations the two sides had fallen into, her heart was set.
'Maybe at the end of this my purpose will be served.'
And just like a bolt of lightning on a sunny day, the battle began.

El dorado, former domain of the demon lord, Leon. The infamous unapproachable city of the modern era.
"You have to admit he scammed us."
"Just...just don't say it like that."
Guy seemed to think someone had scammed them, Rimuru firmly refuting.
