While the Sun God's entrance had everything it needed to be considered grand in the visual aspect, it was ultimately underwhelming to me.
Though that could be blamed on the soundless nature of outer space.
There was also the little but impactful fact that the area around me was still lit up, like Tempest on a festive night.
Ever heard of “doing too much” bro?
“I didn't fly all the way here to talk to a mass of light, tone it down a bit.” I spoke to the…entity.
Of course, we'll ignore the trivialities that surround propagating sound through a vacuum.
The energy around me intensified as if in protest at being called a glorified light show, but it seemed to oblige either way.
A few moments passed, and before me stood…a dude.
Not a man, a dude.
I mean, that's the only way I could describe him.
He didn't look mature or serious enough to be called a man but I couldn't bring myself to call him a boy either…so dude seems fine.
He was clad in a simple white robe that hung off his modest build, he looked like he was in danger of drowning in the thing.
His platinum blonde hair reached his shoulders, the tips seemed to be glowing red for some reason.
A fashion choice?
[[I highly doubt he gave such things any thought.]]
Are you stereotyping right now?[[Master speaks like I have enough knowledge about this sort of entity to engage in stereotyping.]]
Are you saying you don't?
[[That's irrelevant.]]No…it kinda is relevant, Ciel…but whatever.
I snapped out of my internal banter as I felt the dude's golden eyes, not so different from mine, focus on me.
He didn't have anything I could call an expression on his face, it was just…blank.
“Oh, quite a glow up…get it?” I quipped.
At that moment, I didn't even know why I suddenly started telling bad jokes.
But these moments end up being fun to look back at…or incredibly cringe..
Anyway!
“Mine person hast hearkened to thy uncouth summons.” He said, not finding speaking in space a challenge at all.
Not to say I understood a word though.
“Say what now?” And that was definitely made clear to the guy.
An expression finally shaped his face as his brow rose in confusion.
Then he seemed to realize something, as he closed his eyes and began to do.. something..?
I could sense the flow of information between him and the small planet floating in the distance.
Then he reopened his eyes.
“I have responded to your rude invitation.” He said.
Wow, that's neat.
So I'm guessing he just fetched all the information he needed to change his manner of speech from the beings down on the planet.
How convenient.
“When was the last time you directly spoke to anyone?” I ignored his displeasure and decided to start our conversation at a less important point.
