LORCAN

I look towards my sleeping bride dressed in white. She looks like an angel with her angelic features and white dress. Just like her name, her purity is reflected in her face. Her face reflects innocence which makes her perfect for a devil like me. After the vows, it was time for me to take my bride to my home, which has now become our home. I own a luxurious penthouse in Charleston which I bought only a few months ago.

When I came here on a mission, I did not plan to stay here longer. A friend of mine who does not like to get his hands dirty wanted me to do something for him. I did not refuse because of the deal he offered. I had gone to the hospital that day for this purpose but there I met Inez who instantly became my obsession.

I planned to finish the work and return back but after looking at and talking with Inez I changed my plans. She looked so innocent and her innocence drew me towards her. I decided to stay here longer and I used my time here to set up a new business here. I caress Inez's cheek lightly. She is sleeping right now. I guess she became tired because of all the preparations.

It was not love which I felt for her at that time. It was something different. She is different from all the women I have met in my life and this makes her attractive and unique. At first, I did not think of making her my bride but then as time passed I became more and more obsessed with her.

I decided to keep her for myself and that's why I killed her cousin. I cannot bear her laughing and touching some other man. It makes my blood boil. It was too hard for me to keep myself away from Inez but still, I controlled myself because I wanted to give her time. Now I have to go back to my place. I cannot leave Inez behind. I know if I am not here then she will surely try to run from me.

I would have gotten insane knowing that she was so far from me so I decided to marry her. The thing that I feel for her runs deeper than love. I don't know exactly what I feel but I do know that I want to own her completely. I want to make her mine. I want her to only think of me and no one else.

I know soon the only thing consuming her mind will be the thoughts about me. I will etch myself on her soul and body so she will never forget whom she belongs to.

INEZ

I am staring at the closed door. When we reached Lorcan's penthouse, I was surprised to see it. I had never seen such a luxurious penthouse before. I don't know where Lorcan is right now but a maid brought me here in his room and then left. My mind was still stuck to the moment when I said 'I do' that's why I did not notice Lorcan leaving me with the maid.

I am standing in the middle of the room. I don't know what to do now. What am I supposed to do now? Every aspect of my life is controlled by Lorcan so he should have told me what I am supposed to do after coming to his room.

I look around me. This room is thrice the size of my room which I had in my apartment. There is no one in this room with me except the dreading silence. I don't know why she has left me here in this room alone but at this moment I think I don't need anyone near me either. The big spacious room suddenly feels like a big cage. A cage that is well decorated.

The walls, the roof, and even the bed is decorated with Camellia flowers, the flowers which are my favorite. I chuckle at the irony of my situation. He knows what I like to the extent that he considered decorating the room with my favorite flowers but he does not want to acknowledge the fact that I hate him the most in this world and I never wanted to marry him. The whole floor is covered with them.

My attention moves from the floor towards the floor-length mirror placed in one corner of the room. I look towards the mirror. It feels like it is pulling me towards it. I take slow steps towards it. The dress and the heels are making it hard for me to walk straight. I just realized the pain that my elegant heels are causing me. I know I must have bruises on my feet after wearing heels for so long. I take them off my feet and throw them in one corner of the room.
