The building bustled with people coming and going. Men and women dressed in their best business attire rushed to get to their respective jobs on time, however not Lucas, he hated to rush. He would wake up two hours earlier than he had to, so he wouldn't have to rush. Rushing was for people who were ill prepared and that was something he was not and never had been.

Lucas McAllister was a well-prepared man, a businessman, a powerful man, a man nonetheless and when he wanted something or someone, he did anything and everything he had to do to get it.

NESSA. That was the name that had been haunting his days and nights for the past week. He wanted every piece of information that existed about that woman, that mystery woman who haunted his dreams and made him aroused every time he thought of her. There was something about her that had stood out. What was it? She was just a woman like all the rest he would argue with himself, yet the truth was that Nessa was nothing like other women. There was something about her that had bewitched him, that had called out to him, and he had to have her.

Lucas reached for his phone and dialed the usual number and waited for Ron to answer.

"This better be good," he groaned into the phone.

"What did you find out?" Lucas got down to business. There was no time to waste.

Ron cleared his throat and sat up in bed running a hand down his stubbly face trying to wake up. "I don't have very much, Lucas. This woman seems like a floater."

Lucas frowned at his friend's word for women who bounced from place to place, and it was usually for a reason.

"I have tailed her all week and let me tell you that it has not been easy. This woman is hyper vigilant. She almost made me twice, man. She would be a good asset for your personal detail if you ask me." Ron chuckled. He got no answer from his friend as well as employer.

"Did you run her name?"

Ron nodded but realized that Lucas was not in front of him and couldn't see him nodding. It was way too early, he complained to himself.

"Yes, and I got nothing for a Nessa, it would have been better to have a last name, but I still got nothing, and I would have run her face, but taking a picture of her was next to impossible. She knows what she's doing, man. If you ask me this broad is hiding from someone and someone not good for all the stunts she pulls."

Again, Lucas frowned. "What do you mean by all the stunts she pulls?"

Ron shot out of bed and went to his desk to retrieve his notepad where he kept all his information. "Okay, so, she got a job working at Angelo's as a waitress and it seems that the broad is some kind of whiz kid. She picked up on all the ins and outs in one day but that's not what caught my attention." Ron took a breath and went to the page where he had written all about Nessa. "Get a load of this, man, Nessa bounces around all the motels in the city. She hasn't stayed in the same motel twice and it doesn't seem she plans on renting a place for now. She walked to work on Monday and on Tuesday she left two hours earlier and took the bus rounding the city before going to work, she takes different routes to work every single time and she hides her face really well when she's out on the street but does it so well no one notices she's hiding her face."

Lucas was beginning to get frustrated, and it showed in his harsh tone. "So what Ron? For fuck's sake! So, she takes the bus sometimes—"

"Man pay attention! Every motel she stays at is within two or three blocks from Angelo's, there is no need for her to take the fucking bus, man, and I followed her, and she did nothing on the ride. She just rode the route and changed buses three times! This broad is making sure no one follows her, and she is doing a damn good job of it! She's got me exhausted, man."
