DIZZY. Nessa was increasingly dizzy, and her stomach was not settling no matter what she did. She knew the reason for her dizzy spells and the constant whenever-the-hell-it-felt-like-it-sickness. She just didn't want to face it. She needed more time to get her head wrapped around it. She needed to put her past behind her before she faced her present and smile about her future. It was all just happening too fast. It was all so much and so real that it made her head spin.
DOUBT. There was absolutely no doubt that she was pregnant. Her breasts were tender, and she threw up everything and smells, holy crap, the smell of Blake's and Ryder's cologne made her sick every single day and Lucas' as well, but she couldn't say anything. She was not ready to face it. Not yet. She just wanted a little more time.
"Hey sweetheart, I have a business lunch with an old friend today, you want to join us?" Lucas walked out of the walk-in closet dressed in a light gray suit with a dark blue shirt with no tie. He looked so sexy Nessa thought about pouncing on him and having her way with him.
"Do I have time to shower before you leave?" She stretched like a cat on the bed. Nessa had moved all her things from her room to Lucas' room the day after she had returned home, well, Lucas had ordered her things be moved and she had had no objection.
He walked over to her and leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips. Nessa swallowed hard, the bile began to rise from the smell of his cologne and she had no idea how long she had before she had to make a run for the bathroom.
"I have to go on ahead. I'll wait for you at the restaurant, at one okay?" He had her trapped between his arms.
Nessa nodded her head up and down wanting him to go so she could run to the bathroom. She had no idea how much longer she could stand it. He kissed her one more time then pushed off the mattress and walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Nessa jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom barely making it to the toilet. She heaved and heaved emptying her stomach. Her muscles were so sore from all the throwing up she had been doing for the last week. She lay on the bed for about two hours after she threw up what might have been her lungs. She was exhausted and didn't want to go anywhere, but Lucas was waiting for her. she had two hours to get showered and dressed and make it to the restaurant he had inaugurated two weeks after she had come back.
That was an event she had declined not wanting to be around people so soon after what she had gone through.
White and blue was the dress that she had decided to wear. The low neckline was decent, showing enough cleavage. It was one of Lucas' favorite dresses. They always wound up making love in it for some reason which gave her pause thinking that maybe she should change to another dress. She wasn't in a frisky mood lately from all the nausea she had and all the throwing up. She looked at the clock on her phone and decided she didn't have time to change. She slipped her blue open-toed heels on and walked out of the room with her hair loose like Lucas liked it and minimal make-up.
When she saw Blake approaching her, she held her hand up for him to stop and swallowed hard fighting the bout of nausea that had hit her the moment she got a whiff of his damned cologne.
The drive to the restaurant was torture. She had rolled both back seat widows down and ordered the front windows lowered as well, it didn't help. The combination of Ryder's and Blake's cologne was too much for Nessa to take.
"Pull over." She almost stuck her head out the window like a dog wanting fresh air.
"Excuse me?" Ryder looked at her from the rearview mirror.
Maggie held her by the waist preventing her from falling out the window.
"Pull over now, Ryder," Maggie demanded as she held on to Nessa's waist trying to keep her in the car.
